What could have been mere moments later, Sasha and Kellan finally pulled minutely away from one another. Her fingers still curled into his hoodie, his tangled in her hair.
"It's starting to snow." He said softly, not willing to destroy this calm they seem to have encountered.
"You should go home. Get warm."
"I'm plenty warm." He chuckled, leaning his forehead once again, against hers. "Are you going to go home?"
Sasha shook her head in reply. She had no desire to deal with Jane right now. Especially not if Jane had decided to make things more difficult.
"You can't stay out here Sash." His comment was met with more silence, Sasha merely turning her face away from his gaze. "You hate the snow." That brought a small smile to her lips.
"I do." She pulled herself out of his arms and stood, facing away from him, leaning against the rail above the slide. "Just go Kellan, I'll be fine, I'm always fine."
"Come home with me." He wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned down to whisper in her ear.
"That's not a good idea." She closed her eyes and took a steadying breath. "Walk away Kellan, that's all I can do for you now."
"Don't. Don't do that. Don't disappear." His voice was harsher as he turned her to face him. Searching her eyes with his own.
"What would you have me do? I am knowingly endangering you. If anything happens, it will be my fault. What if...what if I am not enough to stop the storm that is brewing?"
"Let it brew. Let it come. We will handle it when it comes Sasha. You cannot order me away. I am not one of your subjects or peons or whatever you'd like to call them."
"Why can't you just walk away?" Her voice shook, her heart shattering, for the thought of him staying and at the thought of him leaving. This was not a battle she could win.
"How could I?" He grabbed her hand and held it against his pounding heart. "That's what happens at the thought of being away from you." She could feel his heart slamming repeatedly at an uncatchable pace against his ribs. "I don't understand it but I'm not going to fight it."
"You will hate me one day." She replied knowingly. With a sigh, she nodded in assent and let him lead her down the steps towards his house.

Sasha tugged Kellan down on the bed next to her, wrapping her arms around his neck, legs around his waist, and laid her head on his chest.
"You're so beautiful." He tilted her head back with his finger under chin, bringing his lips down to hers.
"Pshh." She smiled against his lips, their kisses becoming more urgent.
Sasha tugged his shirt over his head, taking a shuddering breath, she made her way down his neck, kissing every inch of skin she could lay her lips on. Kellan slid his hands under her shirt, frantic to have his skin on hers.
In the dance of their shedding clothes, Kellan's lips never went far from hers.
"Are you sure?" Sasha whispered against his lips one last time.
"I've never been more sure of anything." He whispered back, lifting her up.
"Me either."
