"So is this your plane?" Kellan asked halfway through the flight. Sasha had been silent thus far and it was killing him. He couldn't see through that mask she slid on so easily it seemed to be a second skin. One she was as accustomed to as her own. It left her as flawless and harsh as a diamond.

"No, it's my grandfathers."

"Where are we going?"

"To my home."

"Which is?"

"Rhode Island." She expression didn't change as she thought of her hometown. She couldn't wait to see the ocean but that was all that sleepy town held for her now other than more heartache.

"Are you going to look at me or should I assume I should be adjusting to your attitude?" Kellan questioned in exasperation, an edge of malice in his tone. Sasha glared at him for a moment before returning to the paper in front of her. Kellan snatched the paper and looked at what she'd written. I love you was jotted a couple times with different styles of hearts around it and tiny at the bottom she had written, 'I'm sorry they're watching everything we do', he looked up at her and smiled softly. Understanding a bit more. He knew that she had lived a completely different life than him, but sometimes that was a hard reality to face. He didn't want this to be as complicated as it was, and she certainly didn't let him be the knight. It was a pill his pride was swallowing. Slowly but surely.
