In a world where omegas have become almost extinct, they have the power to choose their alpha based on the bid that the alpha will set to get the omega. The alpha has to set up an offer, and the omega is free to choose from a batch of carefully selected individuals. After all, they will spend the rest of their lives with that alpha and have children with him or her....but what happens when the omega picks his alpha out of curiosity...

KINN

It's the year 3055 and the omega population and all the globe's population started decreasing drastically after a virus hit the genes had modified in such a way that fewer omega children were born and more alphas were left without an heir. It was a dangerous time to be an omega and to protect them. Most of the alphas were moved further from the cities and the authorities made life a living hell for those that had tried to kidnap or sell the omegas on the black market. Now there was a strict system in place in which the alpha needed to enlist themselves into a program and wait for an omega to pick them.

The omega will come live with them in the areas designated which were outside the outskirts of the big cities, and both he and the omega will be under supervision for six months to a year . The omega needed to be tended to and give his consent in everything the alpha wanted to do together. At the first sign of danger, the omega could back out and the contract would dissolve. The alpha would receive the other half of the money and the omega would be sent back to his previous life.

And that's how Kinn found himself with a contract in his hands looking over the requirements to enter such a shitty race with other alphas more wealthy than him and with higher scores. The lady from the agency which he met with looked over his financials alongside his lawyer to decide where he would fit in the race and what his score would be. He was nervous. He knew the chances were slim to none that someone would pick him given his deposit on the contract, but he tried to remain optimistic.

"Now, mister Anakinn, I am not going to lie to you but you have to understand that the probability to find an omega that will be a 100% match is difficult. There are fewer omegas coming to the agency, most of them wanting the highest bidder that is filthy rich. You betting your life savings on this is like throwing a fish back into water. If you have considered this carefully, I will pull out the last contract for you to sign if all the documentation is complete and you have discussed with your lawyer about the implications."

"I understand. Will I be able to see the omega before meeting with him, at least in a picture?" his fingers were fidgeting under the table as he sat in the office at the agency.

"Usually we don't let the alpha see the omega, but if you are lucky and get picked out of the bunch, we will send you his profile. The catch is that you cannot refuse the omega if you see him. If you do, we will return the half of the money, but you will never enter in the database again for another match."

Kinn thought for a few minutes long and hard, holding the draft of the contract between his sweaty fingers. It was now or never. His lawyer was not happy, he knew that Kinn would choose to see the omega and he wouldn't refuse afterward even if it was not what he wished for.

"I completely understand. I want to see him once I get chosen." he cleared his throat loudly. The incense smoke from the tiny office made him uncomfortable, but he tried to bear with it for the time being. These agencies were not fancy, but they had the best contracts and services and the best people to do the jobs for omega picking and matching. Another alpha that found his omega using their services recommended this to him. He decided to give it a go, even if it would cost him a lot of his money.

"Ok then, if you have gone through the contract, I will state the most important points again and we can sign you up into the database and proceed with the searches. The most important aspects are:
