KINN

Kinn couldn't sleep. He felt restless. That brief message messed with his heart, his sleep, and his mood at the party. He returned home somewhere at midnight and could not close one eye. He tossed and turned until the morning came and he felt like a ton of bricks have hit him and covered him whole. Afraid, Kinn Anakinn Theerapanyakul was afraid of an omega choosing him. The brief relationships he had with alphas before, for sure. He was always such a smooth talker, and many warmed his bed, but now he was fidgeting like a little kid waiting for his mystery present. He could almost hear his father's voice, that he had done something stupid again.

The morning light was hurting his eyes, and his head was pounding already. Will he like the omega? Is the omega pretty submissive and will he do anything he would ask him to do? Or is it going to be his biggest nightmare? Someone he couldn't stomach looking at or touching intimately? Someone he would have to live with under the same roof and make things work??? Oh GOD, what has he gotten himself into? He will lose all his money and remain alone. He threw the covers off and slipped out of bed, his head killing him and feeling sick to his stomach.

He called his alpha friend that recommended this service to him and invited him to come for something to drink. Because he didn't dare to look at the profile of that chose him all by himself.

"Hey Jace, could you come over for a coffee? I need to talk to you about something."

"Anakinn this is unexpected and knowing you, it's not some social call. Give me 20 minutes to get dressed. I will be there in a few."

"Sure, I'll be waiting." he pressed the end call button and in the same second an e-mail notification came with the profile of the omega. He froze, looking at the phone. He couldn't open it, so he set the phone aside and went to the bathroom to wash and refresh himself somehow. The coffee was brewing when the doorbell rang. His voice commands it to open, and soon enough. His friend Jace strode into the kitchen dressed in a black shirt and jeans, his wavy blond hair making him look like a cover model.

"Still using the old-fashioned method to make coffee like an old romantic."

"It keeps me grounded and I like the smell of freshly ground coffee in the morning."

"You were always weird with your artistic side and such. So what's up? What's with the early home call? His friend sat at the kitchen table and was handed a mug with the fresh hot beverage. Kinn sat opposite him with the mug between his slim fingers.

"First of all, you look like shit. Second of all, what's wrong?"

"I think I did something stupid....."Kinn looked bothered, his eyes tired and dull. He looked defeated.

"You and stupid don't match in the same sentence, so what happened? "

"You know the agency you told me about... I enrolled.....but....."

"But......" His friend added expectantly.

"I have kept an open option since I wasn't getting picked by any omega."

"Shit, Anakinn.... you just dug your own grave. Well, the word stupid makes sense now. So, ok an open option. What's the issue now?"

"Oh, I'll show you in a second because I didn't have the courage to do this alone."

"You sound like a damsel in distress, Kinn."

"Oh, fuck you Jace, I'm stressed."

Kinn's voice commanded his home computer to open his e-mail and the message from the agency. After a few seconds, a profile of a man appeared in front of his eyes and that of his friends. Kinn raised his eyes and his brain stopped functioning. The man in the profile looked, well, he looked like someone he was not used to seeing.
