Introducing Theo via one shot

The majority of the fandom has cast Lorenzo Zurzolo as Theo, and seeing as how he is incredibly good looking, I shall use him to represent Theo.

You'd known of Theodore Nott since first year, but you'd never really much paid attention to him until your sixth.

Theodore had always been a bit of a loner and he didn't make a spectacle of himself, unlike his friend Malfoy. If one wasn't in Slytherin house they may not even know he existed. You probably wouldn't have either if you hadn't heard his name being called for attendance in a few of your classes.

Still, you never paid much attention to him.

On occasion, you caught him looking at you from across the room, but you never gave it too much thought. Everybody looked at you. You were Y/N L/N, the daughter of a famous singer, which made you one of the most popular girls in your year. You were used to people staring.

What you weren't aware of, however, was how much Theodore genuinely cared for you.

You only found out in one of the strangest ways possible: potions class.

Everyone eyed the pearlescent potion swirling in the cauldron in the center of the room as Professor Slughorn described its effects and the dangers that came with it. Draco and Theodore sat in the corner; Draco whispering to him and the two of them snickering. The snickering began to disrupt the class and Slughorn turned to them.

"Would you two care to tell the class what you find so funny?" He asked them as calmly as he could.

Draco sneered. "Theodore and I were just talking about how that potion couldn't possibly work. Love potions are bogus. Not to mention insentient. How could it change its scent based upon its 'victim?'"

Theodore nodded in agreement.

Slughorn pondered this for a moment before saying, "While I cannot allow you to partake of the potion, lest there be chaos, I can allow you to come down and smell it. It may debunk at least one of your skepticisms."

Draco shrugged and stood up, urging Theodore to follow him. The boys stood in front of the cauldron and Draco was the first to take a whiff. He made a slightly impressed face before straightening and returning to his feet without a word, not able to admit defeat.

Theodore lingered a bit longer. He had a strange look on his face as he breathed in the fumes.

"Well?" Slughorn asked.

"Strange," replied Theodore.

"What does it smell like to you?"

"Hmm... Petrichor," he began then took another whiff. "Earl Grey, and..." he took another pause, looking right up at you. "Jasmine and cherry blossom perfume."

You flushed bright red as he straightened and returned to his seat. You couldn't say much for the petrichor, but you wore your Jasmine and cherry blossom perfume every day and always had a cup of Earl Grey with your breakfast. You were positive that he was, at the very least, attracted to you in some way.

You found it quite hard to focus for the rest of class. You could feel his eyes resting on you. It didn't make you uncomfortable, it only intrigued you more. So, you decided to approach him after class.
