A few months had passed since Cy and Alice had gotten engaged, they planned their wedding, and had a small party at Alice's parents house to celebrate rather than a Bachelorette or bachelor party . "Congratulations kids, may whatever the future holds for you be bright," Jack said proposing a toast to the two. "Just think, in a month you two will be experiencing the joys of marriage together" Alice's mom said. "Thanks Lena, thanks dad" Cy said as he sat down drinking a beer with his family. "Dinners ready," Chuck said as he took the food to the table.
A few hours passed and the families sat joking and talking about how life changes with marriage. "Well we'd better head home, good to see everyone" Jack said getting up with his family to say goodbye to everyone then walking out the back door to get down to their house. Cy and Alice sat talking with her parents and little sister for a while before heading home themselves.
The day of the wedding would come and Cy would wake up before Alice and left her a note saying he'd be back. Cy got up and got dressed and ready for the day. Cy would go for a jog and to a flower shop then going home to find Alice awake. "Good morning my love," she said as she got up to kiss Cy. "Good morning," Cy said, "I got these for you,". "Wow thanks babe, I'll put these in water right now," Alice said "I have something to tell you, but I'm not sure how to". "You can tell me anything," Cy said holding Alice's hand. "I'm pregnant, and I want out," Alice said. "Out of what?" Cy asked. "The organization, you can stay but I don't want to risk either me or our baby getting hurt before it's even born" Alice said to Cy. "Of course," Cy said kissing her "this is amazing". "I want to tell our families before tonight," Alice said, "let's go to lunch in a while so we can tell them". "Okay love" Cy said heading to their room to get changed. "Let's go to your family first then we can go over to mine" Alice said following Cy.
Cy and Alice walked into Cy's parents house where his dad sat in the living room. "Hey, how you guys feeling?" Jack said getting up to hug Cyrus and Alice. "Nervous," Cyrus said. "Well kids, I'm always glad to see you, your mom is with your sister doing her hair," Jack said as they sat down. "We'd like to invite you to have lunch with us, and my parents" Alice said "just a small get together before the wedding". "Ask your mom but I'm, sure we'd be delighted to join you" Jack said. Cy got up and said "I'll go ask now". Cy headed down the hall to go say hi to his mom and sister and looked around at all the family photos. "I thought I heard the front door open, you look wonderful" Carrie said hugging Cyrus. "Thanks mom," Cy said, "Alice and I are going to have lunch together, and we'd like to invite you guys and her parents to come along, so what do you say"? "We'd love to, what time?" Carrie answered. "Here at eleven at that diner on Front Street" Cy answered. "Okay sweetheart, we'll be there" Carrie said. Cy hugged his mom then went back to Alice and his dad then said their goodbyes and went to Alice's house to get them to go to lunch as well.
Eleven o'clock rolled around and the Harrion's and Johnson families gathered at the diner and had lunch together. "So, for the reason we asked you all here, we have an announcement," Alice said. The family all looked at Alice and Cy as they announced their pregnancy. "Congratulations" Carrie and Lena said to Alice and Cy with the dads looking at Cy dumbfounded. "What are you going to do with it?" Chuck asked. "We haven't talked about it yet sir," Cy said. The family finished eating then went back home to wait until that afternoon for the wedding.
The evening rolled around quickly and the two got married and would have a small party to celebrate with friends and family. Cy snuck out to the balcony with almost no one noticing except his father and Alice. "So how do you feel?" Jack said. "I don't know, I honestly didn't think this is where I'd end up," Cy said. "Well I think this is where your supposed to be, nothing in life happens without reason" Jack said patting Cy on the back, "here comes your wife, I'll see you inside". Cy turned around and saw Alice coming towards him, "Hello my love," Cyrus said as he walked towards her. "Hi," Alice said, hugging Cy. "I love you, and if we keep the kid I'll love them too," Cy said. "I want to keep it," Alice said holding Cy close. "Then we'll keep it," Cy said.
Nine months would pass and Alice would have their daughter and become a stay at home mom while Cyrus worked his way up the line and got yet another promotion when his boss retired. In the new position he would do hits on the rivals to the organization or to those who could cause harm to them. Cy sat in their living room writing in his journal after a long day and Alice came into the room. "I put Chloe to bed, you doing okay?" Alice asked. "Yeah, just thinking about what dad said at our wedding, and I have to agree I'm right where I belong, I have a wonderful wife a beautiful daughter" Cy said, closing his journal "what more can a man ask for". Alice sat with Cy and kissed his cheek and watched TV with him before going to bed.
