The day started with Cy helping his dad paint the garage a little then spending time playing games with Kimberly. At four o'clock Cy showered and started getting ready for his and Alice's date. "I need to run to the store before the date do you guys need anything?" Cy said before he headed out. "Son, let me talk to you" Jack said following him out to the car "Listen be safe tonight okay, make good choices". "I will thank you dad" Cy said as he got in his car and drove to the store and got flowers and a pack of gum then headed to Alice's house to pick her up.

Cyrus walked up to her door and rang the doorbell with flowers in hand. A man in his late thirties came and answered the door and Cyrus said "Hi I'm here to pick up Alice,". "Come on in, she's still getting ready" the man said as he shook Cy's hand then walked back into their house, "so you must be Cyrus, I'm Chuck Alices's dad". "Yes, good to meet you sir" Cy said as a young girl about Kim's age came out. "And this is my younger daughter Ashley" Chuck said as she sat down and said hi to Cy. They all sat and talked until Alice came down. "Hey, these are for you," Cy said. "Thank you, these are really nice," Alice said "You ready to go?" Alice asked as she walked to the kitchen to put the flowers in water and grabbed the cooler where she packed a picnic for them. Cy stood up and shook Chucks hand said goodbye to him and his daughter then headed towards the door with Alice following after she said goodbye.

"So where to?" Cy asked Alice. "We're going to the arcade on fifth street" Alice said as Cy drove them to the place. "You look amazing" Cy said as he drove them to the arcade. "Thanks you look good too" Alice said blushing whilst looking out the window. Cy drove a little while longer then pulled up to the arcade and the two went in. "How good are you at games?" Alice said. "I'm good at them," Cy said as he walked through the arcade looking for games he's familiar with. "Good," Alice said as she got some quarters out of the change machine. The two went to a zombie shooter game where Alice got a chance to show Cy what she'd learned yet again.

Thirty minutes had passed and the two had gotten a lot of tickets, then Cy and Alice went to sit for a while. "I'm gonna grab a coke want one" Alice said as they walked towards the tables. "I'm okay thank you" Cy said as he sat waiting for Alice and looking out the window. Alice   came back with a coke and two straws, "I know you said you didn’t want one so I figured we could split one" she said as she sat down. As she sat down the sun coming through the window hit her in the face making her look as though she was glowing and her red hair look like even brighter. Cy looked at her in awe and Alice saw this and asked "what's up?". "Nothing you just look really beautiful with the sunset bouncing off of you, not that you dont normally of course" Cy said. "Thank you, speaking of sunset we better head up to the mountains before it gets darker" Alice said  "I wanna show you my favorite view of the city".She said as they drank their coke then went out to the car.

Alice guided Cy to the mountains and up to her lookout spot. "Okay we're almost there," Alice said as she was directing them. Cy pulled into a spot off the road where Alice had directed them and Anna got out and grabbed the cooler out of the back seat. "This is some view," Cy said as he got out and looked around, "you come up here a lot?". "When I want to be alone or have to think, it's always empty so that's always good, now let's eat" Alice said putting the blanket out for them to sit on and Cy trying to help. "I hope you like ham and cheese, it's the only sandwich makings we had," Alice said, "there's also some chips and grapes in there too along with a soda if you'd like". "I love ham and cheese, it's one of my favorite sandwiches, thank you" Cy said as he got the ham and cheese out of the bag. The two finished their food and laid on the blanket together staring up at the clouds as the day slowly turned to night. "Thanks for asking me to come out and showing me this place," Cy said as he stretched his arms out and put his hand over Anna's on accident. "Sorry about that," Cy said. Alice grabbed his hand as they looked up at the stars and said "its okay".

A few hours passed and the two had sat taking and looking at the stars together forgetting all of their worries. "What time is it?" Alice asked. "Nine o'clock" Cy answered "ready to head back?". "In a while, did you think this is where you'd end up?" Alice asked. "What laying on a blanket staring at the stars with my best friend," Cy said "honestly I don't know where I was going to be, when I was a kid I was in a car accident with my parents and they didn't make it but my parents friends took me in, so it's hard to say how I expected my life to go, how about you?". "I don't know, I definitely didn't think I'd be part of the organization," Alice said.

The two laid together for a little while longer before getting up and cleaning where they were then drove back to town. "Thanks for tonight," Cy said as he drove towards their street. "Thank you, we'll have to do this again soon," Alice said as they pulled into her driveway. "I'll walk you to the door," Cy said as they got out. Alice and Cy walked up to the door before she stopped and pulled Cy in and kissed him "I'll text you when I get settled in," then walked in and Cy drove home.

"How'd it go?" Cy's mom asked as he got into the house. "Good, we had a nice night," Cy said as he sat on the couch with his mom and watched some TV before going to his room and texting Alice, then writing in his journal before bed.
