"Am I talking to Mrs. Flocka now, or what? Oh--girl, I see that fat ass hickey on your neck." Khadijah cackled over the phone before she kissed her teeth abruptly. "On everything, Arion if you don't move your big ass head off of me--"
"Yo, Jah, you being mad federal right now--"
"Because you fucking heavy, bitch! Move! I'm tryna talk to Raiya, the fuck?" Khadijah mumbled under her breath. "Like why are you still here anyways? Go home!"
Niraiya shook her head in amusement, Kay was sat on the floor again between her legs while she was sitting on the edge of her bed, trying to tame his wild ass hair. It just got frustrating for her to look at, so since it was already blown out, she just decided to braid it.
"Those niggas stay arguing, bro," Kay muttered.
"Forreal." Niraiya agreed. "Jah, should I call you back? You seem busy."
"No, you good, Raiya--"
"Yeah, Raiya, we gon' call you back actually," Dougie said, entering the camera frame, there was the sound of scuffling and she heard Khadijah let out an indignant shriek, "I just gotta talk to Jah real quick." He quipped, snatching the phone from Khadijah, smiling innocently as he ended the call. Niraiya stared at her phone in disbelief before tossing it away from her with a lazy shrug.
"They're fucking right, or is it just me?" Niraiya voiced her suspicions to Kay.
"Not my business," he said bluntly, playing a mobile game on his phone with one hand, the other hand held onto her left foot--her leg dangling over his shoulder.
It'd been a cool few days together, just chilling--laying boo'd up together. Honestly, Niraiya felt great, but the fight between Kay and his older brother weighed heavy on her mind. She wondered if she should feel concerned.
"Kay," she started carefully, focusing as she tried to catch his hair into the braid, "what's up with you and your brother?"
"What?" He jerked suddenly, shaking her body and releasing his grip on her foot, making her mess up the braid.
"Boy," she frowned, "you made me mess up." She sighed, using her rat tail comb to undo the braid and start over. "What's up with you and your brother, though? If I'm overstepping, just let me know. I'm curious, that's all." He let her leg slide off his shoulder after she finished speaking which made her frown even more.
Kay was silent for a long time--silent enough that Niraiya already finished two out of the four braids. It startled her when he'd finally spoken up.
"He's just so frustrating to be around--like he thinks he's better than me or something, it's stupid, I'on even wanna get into it right now," Kay exhaled sharply, pressing on his phone screen aggressively.
