"Law Firm Jipuragi has come back to life!" Cha-Young and I exclaimed at the same time, giving an enthusiastic pose as if we were presenting a big brand while being the brand ambassadors.
Our powerful moment turned into an embarrassing one when none of the tenants clapped, except for Mr. Nam. Cha-Young and I both looked at each other, nodding and straightening our posture again.
After a long discussion about this, Cha-Young and I decided that we will reopen Jipuragi, considering how we both knew that samchon's death was not a mere accident, but a planned murder.
We had made plans, of course, and my part of the plan included persuading Vincenzo into joining us. Though, 'persuading' was not the word that Cha-Young had used, what she actually asked me to do was to seduce the lawyer. I had waved it off obviously, but this girl really thought about the two of us a lot, it gets annoying at one point.
"Feel free to ask us for help." I smiled at the tenants who just stared at us like we had grown horns on our head.
"Does this mean we'll resume what we've been working on?" Mr. Lee broke the silence.
"Yes." Cha-Young grinned. "I will continue my dad's work regarding the lawsuit related to this building's tenants."
"Then what about Mr. Cassano?" Miri asked.
"Forget about him." Ms. Kwak silenced her, her facial expression forming into a sassy and irritated one. "He can do whatever he likes." She smiled all of a sudden as she turned to look at us. "We have them now. Congratulations." She clapped her hands, basically shoving them in the other tenants' faces so they would clap too.
"In any case, we'll help you guys from now on." I placed a hand on my heart to express my dramatic gratitude.
"Word has it that your friend was working in opposition to her father." Mr. Tak was the one to speak now.
Cha-Young cleared her throat in embarrassment before speaking. "That's all in the past." She placed her hand on her chest over dramatically. "I've been born again! I will fight against corruption and injustice while obeying the law. With warmth and benevolence, I will embrace you—"
"What she's trying to say is that she's on our side now." I placed my hands on Cha-Young's shoulders, causing her to calm down. "We promise that we will figh—"
"Ms. Seo Hajoon." I heard a voice was behind me and I turned to see two middle-aged men staring at me with an accusing gaze.
I smiled at them nevertheless. "How may I help you?"
"You're under arrest for trespassing and blackmailing." My smile fell down at his words as he shoved his ID card in my face.
"Let's make this easy." The other one spoke, pulling out handcuffs from his back pocket and grabbing my hand to cuff them.
