"Why isn't it going in?!" I groaned at my earring. The short black dress looked good on me to say the most. Though, I had no idea what to wear to a classy party like this— since I had never been to one— I still managed to dress up just fine.
It was night at last, all those classy people were down there in front of the Geumga Plaza. I just hope this plan of mine works out. I am sure that they will have no choice but to stop the demolition after this, but I was still somewhat stressed.
One thing though, I was really proud of my plan. Seeing that I only had to say it and Mr. Italy took charge of all the money, it was pretty easy. I never really knew Vincenzo Cassano was that rich. But oh well.
"Are you ready?" Mr. Italy knocked on my door.
I looked down at the earring in my hand, huffing in annoyance. "Yes!" I called back out, walking to the door and opened it.
"Everyone was asking for you-" He cut himself off, his gaze scanning my whole body from my face to my legs. I tucked a strand of my loosely let down hair behind my ear, clearing my throat.
"It's not too much, is it?" I asked. "I had nothing else to wear."
"No, it's— fine. It looks good." He let out and I smiled at the approval. "So, you're ready, right?"
"Yeah, just this—" I showed him my frustrating earring. "earring won't go in." I huffed. He scoffed, taking it from my hand and taking me by surprise. "What are you—"
"Let my try." He said, coming closer to me and I felt my breath hold itself involuntarily. His fingers touched my ear and he leaned in, his breath fanning over the side of my face as he focused on getting the earring through. His cologne was torturing my brain— how could he smell so good?
Feeling a poke into the wrong place, I whimpered and it caught his attention. "It's nothing." I smiled, reassuring him completely. He muttered a small 'sorry' and went back to trying.
A few seconds of more fidgeting and finally, it went in, making me sigh in relief. Though, the relief was not about the earring, it was about a certain Italian who was still standing really close.
"Thank you." I muttered, stepping away myself. He nodded his head with a small smile before leading the way out of the apartment. "Did they come yet?" I asked him about the Ant Company men as he closed the door behind me.
"No. It's only nine right now." He replied. "But I have to say, Ms. Seo, your plan was really good."
I smiled cheekily, hitting him on the arm like I always do and he clutched the area I hit, waving it off. "Thank you, and sorry."
He stopped in his tracks, looking back at me. "Why?"
I folded my hands behind my back, fidgeting with my fingers. "It's just that..." I trailed off, looking away here and there. "It must have cost a fortune."
