Dream yawned.. feeling someone lay on his back.
"Mm.." he rubbed his eyes, soon fluttering them open faintly.
"Hmm..?"

He looked around.. soon looking over his shoulder to see George asleep.. having his arms huddled underneath him- using him as a pillow.

Dream happily smiled, resting his head on the squishy material.. it was nice being under the water with George.

"Where did you meet him?"

Dream jumped faintly before he turned over.. seeing Punz holding a bunch of food- putting it down in a pile.
"He saved me.." he hummed softly.
"That's how I met him.."

Punz tilted his head to the side.
"From what?" He cocked a brow.
"A shark or something..? Sorry I'm just curious."

"During a storm.. I got swept away on the surface and he brought me into his home." Dream laid comfortably down on the ground.
"He fixed my wounds and returned me to the sea." He was happy with George..
"Like he promised."

Punz grew even more confused.
"Can- he not swim?" He made his way over.. just so he could speak more quietly.
"And just lays up on the surface...? Isn't that dangerous."

"He's from the surface." Dream happily relaxed.. feeling calm as George slept on his back.
"He's a human."

Punz looked a little shocked.. tilting his head.
"You've been too the surface?! What's it like!" He grew curious.. his smile happily growing.
"I wanna know!"

"Well.. a lot different." Dream rubbed the back of his head.
"George was the first and the nicest person I've met on the surface." He spoke in a calming tone.

Punz was curious but his gaze soon softened.
"Is it interesting..?" He carefully settle down.
"Like.. everything..?"

"Very.." Dream looked back at Punz.. seeing him look at the surface.
"Havent you gone to the surface?" He tilted his head.
"Since you are on your own after all..?"

"Against the rules.." Punz mumbled.. scrunching nose.
"I'd love too." He sighed.. nodding his head.
"But I stay down here.."

"Why?" Dream grew confused.. tilting his head the opposite way.

"I try and look for others." Punz look over at Dream.
"More merfolk.. and hope to find a group." He soon had an unimpressed look.
"I just didn't expect to find a bunch of weird ones."

Dream rolled his eyes.
"Well.. why haven't you gone searching for your connection?" He rested his head on his hands.
"Most do?"

"They..." punz's gaze sorrowed.
"They passed away a long time ago." He glared towards George.
"Humans killed them along time ago."

Dreams gaze sorrowed.. perking up.
"I see.." he looked back at George.
"George isn't like other humans.. he has a big heart."

Punz shrugged.
"I don't really care.. it was a long long time ago." He waved his hand.
"I just.. don't understand why they hurt us."

"Actually- they don't know we exist." Dream carefully slid himself out from under George.
"If they did.. we would be hurt and hunted." He sat up.

"Why hasn't he then..?" Punz pointed at George.
"Wouldn't he hunt us." He was extremely curious.

"As I've said... he's a good person." Dream looked down at George.. his smile growing happily.
"You just need to talk to him some more." He looked down.
"Right George?"

George stretched his arms.. rubbing his eyes.
"Hmm..?" He fluttered his eyes awake.. looking up.
"What's going on..?"

"Punz was asking questions about the surface." Dream nudged George's side, pointing over at Punz.
"I told him you were from the surface."

George rubbed his eye.. soon looking over at Punz.
"What did you wanna know..?" He softly spoke... blinking faintly.

"Is it better up there then down here?" Punz was genuinely curious.
"Is it- peaceful..?" He tilted his head faintly.

"Well.. it's pretty peaceful for me at least..? Why?" George slid off dreams back, laying down on the squishy material.
"What is it?"

"Well.. I was think of going to the surface... since I heard it's peaceful up there." Punz looked over, seeing Sapnap checking on Karl.
"But.. I don't know.... I just want to know if it's worth living up there."

George shook his head.
"You have better chances down here then up there..." he turned his back to them.. getting comfortable once more.
"But living in loneliness is worse.. so I don't know.. both are pretty even.."

Dream made his way towards George, laying on top of him.
"You aren't alone anymore, cause you have me annoying you." He hummed softly.
"So don't worry."

George let out a chuckle.. turning onto his stomach.
"I know, I have a merman boyfriend." He let Dream lay on him.
"That likes being around me 24/7"

Dream nodded, rolling over George and in front of him.
"I do." He chuckled.
"And you enjoy it."

"I do." George nodded his head, hugging Dream faintly.

Before Dream could respond- he was cut off.

"You guys are so weird." Sapnap grumbled, checking Karl's temperature for the millionth time.
"You both need to go for a swim." He grumbled.
"Clear your minds."

Punz just.. was confused.

George anxiously laughed.
"Y'know.. I don't know if I'm a fan of that." He sat up straight.
"I cannot swim.... So I'd prefer if I just-"

"Then I'll teach you." Dream swam up, picking George up, holding under his arms.
"Since you can't fall in the water, we can try and swim over the coral reef.." He smiled.

George yelped, blinking as Dream picked him up.
"Don't drop me.." he softly spoke.. holding onto dreams arms.

"I won't." Dream quickly swam out of the sea anemone... carrying George with him.
"Cmon!" He happily smiled.

George was extremely worried.. but- he had to trust Dream.

Sapnap rolled his eyes, soon laying down next to Karl.
"Stupid cuddlefish love.." he let out a scoff.

"Do.. they always do stuff like that..?" Punz looked at Sapnap.
"The lovey dovey stuff...?" He swam up too the two.

"Yep." Sapnap looked over at Punz.
"Dream just doesn't realize how stupid it is to be connected to a human." He looked at Karl.
"But id be a hypocrite.... He just cares more"

"Is it safe for Dream to be with George?" Punz tilted his head to the side, his tail flicking faintly.
"Or well.. safe for George to be with Dream." He didn't know how the brunette could be with such a large merman.."

"What do you mean?" Sapnap cocked a brow.
"Are you calling him fat...?" He slowly blinked.

"No, like I mean literally." Punz pointed at Sapnap.
"Dream is like more then half you size!" He scoffed

"He's just a tad bit bigger." Sapnap rolled his eyes.
"But yeah, he's just a bit bigger then George- but to be fair.. George is really short.." he tapped his jaw.
"Like- quite a small human."

"I see, so- they won't hurt each other..?" Punz didn't want them to lose each other like he did with his connection.

"Well.. sort of.." Sapnap shrugged.
"Until they get into an argument, George will have the upper hand." He sighed, staring down at the ground.
"Just thankfully George won't do that."

Punz slowly nodded.
"Anyways... I wanna know more about the two." He got comfortable.
"Tell me your point of view on how they met."

"Honestly... I just saw George near Dream and nearly attacked him... twice." Sapnap shrugged, coiling his tail around him and Karl.

"Twice???" Punz looked a little shocked.

"This first time was when I first saw him." Sapnap rubbed the back of his head.
"The second was an accident... he was just trying to get some garbage wrapped around my tail and i freaked out."

"I see." Punz softly chuckled, nodding his head.
"Now.. I wanna know about you and Karl."
