The white apartment door clicked, being unlocked and proceeded to swiftly open.
I was immediately met with the girls dark brown eyes, black. The dark circles under them made them look even darker. Her eyes seemed like the darkest shade of black. Although she still looked beautiful in a weird way. She looked like she was in terrible pain, like if you said something she would either break down crying or kill you. Her eyebrows furrowed, her face lifeless. "Hey man..I'll get you your jacket hold on." Clo spoke through her misery, her eyes closing shut roughly as she walked away to get the jacket. I felt kinda bad for her. Sure, it was her choice to do drugs but i still feel horrible.
I stood in the doorway awkwardly for 5 minutes before Clo came back with my jacket in her hand. I couldn't help but look at them. Her nails were clean, nicely grown out but not painted, they were skinny, her fingers long and thin, the bones softly aligned. She walked slow, rubbing her eyes with her free hand. Her arm extended, handing me the jacket. "Uhh..you need anything?" Words just started to slip out my mouth, just walk away, I kept thinking. I wanted to help and I don't know why. Don't get me wrong, I love helping people but I know when it's not my problem. When I should walk away.
"Don't worry about it." Clo said. I could tell she was ready to say something else, probably bye or have a good day- but I cut her off. "I mean, I'm not doing anything, you need some pain killers or something?" What am I even saying right now. Just go holy shit."For real?"
"Yeah, of course."
Fuck.••••
"You're stupid." Matt insulted.
"I know.." Chris muttered back a response. You shouldn't help people if you're disappointed to even admit you're helping them, Chris was aware. "Just drive to like the nearest where ever you get pain killers." Ok so he wasn't smart, it's the thought that counts. "You just got stupider." Matt insulted his brother further."You know, Chris, I don't think you understand how much of this isn't your problem." His brother said, although he had started driving. "Go to google maps, I don't know my way around here." He instructed.
"Matt, I just got in the car let me put on my seatbelt." Chris snarled, not getting an answer from Matt as he was more focused of what was going on ahead of him.
