As we both pulled away from each other, my hand had naturally set itself gently on his neck, the other on the side of his neck. The feeling of the warmth of Chris' skin on my hands felt so calming. "I wasn't lying when I said I liked you." He said quietly. His lips, a subtle shade of pink from my light red lip gloss. "I didn't think you were." I smirked, leaning into his lips once more with a soft and gentle peck.
"You make it hard for me to focus on anything other than you." Chris confessed, a meting look in his eyes. I licked my lips without realising, letting the smirk tug at my lips as soon as my tongue was back in my mouth. "Good." I smiled, speaking low.
"You like that?" A cocky smirk spread on his lips, making my stomach swirl. A nervousness spread throughout my fingertips as his hands found their way to my waist- placed on it firmly.
"I love it." I hid my nervousness behind a tone so confident it appeared as if I wasn't stunned by his overwhelming, new found flirtatiousness.Chris' lips collide with mine again, giving nothing but gentle kisses. Eventually our tongues were grazing each other softly. With every gentle kiss, I found myself sinking more and more beneath him until he was hovering over me.
Chris' phone suddenly broke the tranquil silence in the background, but neither of us acknowledged it, lost in the intoxicating moment. His kisses travelled down to my neck, his tender lips grasped around my skin, his tongue drawing delicate patterns, leaving behind loving marks in hues of purple. My breath quickened. I loved every second of being this close to him, I can't believe I haven't thought about kissing Chris at all before this moment. The ringing had continued, the fifth intrusive call within a mere two minutes.
Chris exhaled with a mixture of disappointment and irritation, lowering his head before reluctantly rising to answer the persistent interruption. I sat up, joining him in this unwelcome pause. He ran his fingers through his tousled hair before answering, putting two fingers on the bridge of his nose for a few seconds. "Yeah?" His voice betrayed the frustration he felt.
I put a strand of hair behind my ear as I pressed my lips together for a bit, sitting at the edge of the bed while staring at Chris.
His expression turned to puzzled, his brows furrowing as he abruptly shifted his gaze towards me. "What?" Chris questioned with confusion lingering in his voice.
"Nick, what?" He repeated.
I could slightly hear his brothers talking on the other line. It sounded like a murmur from where I was sitting.
"Do you know Jules?" Chris asked me.
"Jules who?"
"Jules who?" He echoed my question into the phone for his brother to hear. A few minutes of silence later, Chris turns his attention back to me. "Jules Brown."I furrowed my eyebrows, my tongue unconsciously tracing my back teeth, "Yeah. What about her?" I asked curiously.
"Something happened, I don't know, she's crying really bad."My eyebrows shot up in surprise, "Crying?"
"Yeah." Chris confirmed. "She said she needs to talk to you."
"Ok well let me talk to her then, what happened?" I extended my palm, ushering him to give me the phone.
Chris hands me the phone and I immediately put it against my ear. "Hello?" I asked, a sign of care in my voice. "Yeah, Clo? Your friend is she's crying hysterically. Something about a guy...I think." A charismatic male voice sounded through the phone. "What happened? Give the phone to her.""Clo?!"
