Well, we are in New York, in a fast food restaurant. We have no money so we're not planning to pay. When I first offered the idea of eating and not paying to Chris he was hesitent, but eventually realised how hungry he is and agreed. So, while we eat let me tell you what happened. Cam's car? I crashed it into a tree because it was that or manslaughter. A person jogged out into the middle of the street with headphones blasting music so they didn't hear or see a car coming. We couldn't call for help cause we happened to be in the middle of nowhere and I had no phone, Chris' was dead. The jogger didn't even stop to ask if we were okay.
We ended up walking, leaving the car behind. It took a couple days, we had stopped to sleep only once not including when we had the car.
I couldn't tell you how long we walked, but it was long enough to have both of our legs crying out in pain. We would stop and sit down once in a while. I kept a conversation going so it wouldn't be too boring for either of us. Because of that conversation, time went faster and we landed in a place with people, houses, stores. A living place. Since we had no money, I stole a few snacks and 2 water bottles. The snacks didn't last long, we immediately ate them.
We then sneaked onto a train that was heading to New York. Although we almost got caught, had to run on it and hide, we still made it on right in time.
New York is beautiful. I've always loved big cities. I should've went to college here instead.

My lips wrapped around the straw, sucking in the cold pepsi after finishing my food. I watched Clo as she tuck her hair behind her ears before biting into her burger. I think she's really beautiful. I can't describe it any way except that I like her face. It's so perfect in so many different ways.
I don't know how to feel. I haven't known her for long at all. I guess over our journey to New York we bonded a lot. I kind of forgot everything but her. Like no one else and nothing else existed. But, I don't think someone like her is good for me, or anybody. She's fun sure, but I'd like to know what she's like when she's stable. No one stable acts like her. Clo doesn't care. She's a walking death wish.
"How are we gonna get back to LA?" I asked, my tone casual as I take another sip of my pepsi. Clo shrugs carelessly in response. "We should get your phone charged. Your brothers probably think I dismembered you by now or something."
"Yeah, we go back and there's an active murder case." I joked, making her laugh lightly. I sigh leaning back in my chair and looking out the full wall window we had sat next to. "You like New York?" Clo asked softly. "It's beautiful if I'm being honest with you. Weirdly like...dirty though." I scrunched my nose in disgust. "Yeah," She swallowed her food and drank it down with fanta before finishing her sentence, "I wouldn't wanna like full on live here but I wouldn't mind."
I nodded in agreement, finishing my pepsi and looking around the room. My eyes darted to an outlet box. "I'm gonna go ask someone for a charger, there's an oulet there."
time skip
My phone had charged enough to turn on and I was immediately smacked in the face with over one thousand texts and calls, not only from my brothers and parents but also my friends. Even some texts and calls from people I hadn't spoken to in months.
"Fuck, bro..." I muttered.
I fucked up.
