Imagine having to spend a few hours on a bus with really annoying kids. Ones who had nothing better to do but be rowdy and torment other kids around them. It definitely makes you want to cause a scene but it wouldn't be worth getting in trouble for. That's what it felt like on the field trip to the museum.

My knee bounced up and down as the soft music of Taylor Swift played through my ear bud. A way to control my anxiety, as I didn't like being in groups of people. Even if I knew most of the kids on here. My head had been resting on Percy's shoulder, as the rocking of the bus was sending me off to sleep. That was until a chunk of a peanut butter and ketchup sandwich hit Grover on the back of the head.

Causing Percy to fling around, ready to attack. And I was snapped back to reality. From the seat behind us was the prissy face of Nancy Bobofett. Who was like something straight out of Star Wars. She was just an entitled bully, who like picking on us. More specifically Grover, as he was deemed an easy target. You see he walked with crutches due to a muscle deficiency he had. That didnt stop him from living life though. Especially when it's enchilada day at school. That boy can run when he wants to.

Grover and I shared a look before each grabbing an arm, stopping Percy from launching himself over the seat to get at the bully.

"Dude it's not worth it. One more infraction and you'll be expelled," Grover reminded him, ignoring the laughter coming from the girl and her band of misfits.

"Why don't you all shut your annoying traps and do something productive with yourselves," I growled, trying to do what Percy just did, but he stopped me. There seemed to be a proud look in his ocean colored eyes, but he kept his face blank. Not wanting to escalate the situation anymore. The little Barbarian of a girl was about to retort something back. However the bus stopped, signaling our arrival.

Now we were getting a tour from our Latin teacher Mr Brunner. He was a great teacher, as there were days when he'd set up mock tournaments in class with his replicas of weapons. It was awesome, and he was way better than our other chaperone Mrs Dodds. Percy and I swear she's evil, always showing up at the most unconventional times to reward Nancy and punish us. Even when we did nothing wrong. It was like the odds were always stacked against us.

"Miss Miller would you mind telling us what Zeus's source of power is?" Brunner asked me and the whole class turned to gaze at me. Awaiting my response. All those sets of eyes made me shake, not liking the feeling. Percy gave me an encouraging smile, gently grabbing my hand for comfort as Grover flashed a thumbs up.

"His main source of power comes from his master lightning bolt. Built for him by three cyclops brothers, or at least as one legend states," I replied shaking off the nervous feeling.

"That is correct Miss Miller," he states with a smile before explaining more things about certain pieces. I deciphered a few of the writings for Percy, since he had dyslexia. Often times he'd get mixed up but Grover and I were always there to help if he needed it.

The rest of the tour was going well. That was until Nancy again had to open her big mouth. This time Percy voiced his opinion on the matter, getting scolded by Mrs Dodds, what a witch. Like normally my nature towards people was toleration but I really despised that woman.

As we all made our way outside for lunch I noticed a storm seemed to be brewing. Judging from the looks of it, it was going to be a big one. However nobody seemed worried about it as they went about their day. Again Nancy made an appearance once more, trying to stir up mischief and cause chaos. Which she ended up doing, as her bullying was driving me up the wall.

Percy and I stood almost shoulder to shoulder as we spoke our minds to her. The angrier we got the more I noticed the wind picking up, as if fuelled by us. And next thing we knew a strong wind knocked Nancy down. She hit the pavement hard as water jumped from the fountain, drenching her from head to toe. Served her right though.

The two of us shared a shocked look wondering if what we'd seen was real "Did the water just???" "It leaped out of the fountain!!!!" However nobody seemed to believe us as Dodds came over with a stern look on her face. Of course Nancy told her that we pushed her in. A total lie on her part, but now you see why trouble always seemed to find us.

You see Percy and I had practically the same upbringing. Not having a dad in the picture and being solely raised by our mothers. Who had to be the most understanding people in existence. He too switched schools alot, since trouble found its way to him. It was attracted to us somehow. Like the universe was having a go at us. And so that's how we became friends, when we both got transfered to Yancy Academy.

Which lead us to the stare down with Mrs Dodds, not only was she the worst math teacher but she now had a vendetta against us.

"Follow me troublemakers," she scolded causing me to roll my electric blue eyes, tucking a strand of auburn hair behind my ear. Mumbling curses, no twelve year old should know, under my breath. Percy grabbed the sleeve of my faux leather jacket, guiding me along. Knowing that if he didn't then I'd remain in place. No doubt winding up in more trouble.

Something told me we were in for it this time. My eyes searched around for Brunner but he seemed too engrossed in his book to notice us being lead into the museum once more.

She ushered us off into a room that was being renovated, closing the doors behind her. Meaning there was nobody else in the room, which meant we were toast. This lady then proceeded to rant about some lightning bolt, basically blaming Percy for stealing it.

"Umm lady who put acid in your cocoa Puffs. What are you tripping on?" I voiced as Percy and I stood as far from her as possible. I mean I knew she was crazy but now she's borderline wacko. She growled at me, like literally growled animalistically at me.

"Maybe not anger her Mimi," Percy states standing protectively in front of me. For a minute she disappeared before popping up at the top of scaffolding. How in the name of Merlin did she get up there? Like there weren't any stairs.

My thought was answered when she turned into this bat looking creature. Reminding me of how the furies looked in some of my mythology books, maybe I'm the one that's tripping.

When I thought things couldn't get any stranger, Brunner showed up with a panicked look. Of course all our saviour did was yeet a pen at us claiming it was a powerful weapon.

"THATS YOUR RESCUE ATTEMPT. WHATS A PEN GONNA DO MAN?" I screamed, Percy was staring at the pen in shock. Great we're dead now. It was nice knowing you life, but now my demise will befall me. Dead by a wannabe bat women.

Percy was flat on his back as the monster clawed at him. Sudden the pressure in the room dropped and a bolt of lightning shot from my fingers, blasting it back. Giving Percy time to stand, clicking the pen it began to change into the sword from Brunner's classroom. As the monster tried coming for me, Percy thrust the sword into it. Causing it to explode into yellow monster dust all over me.

The room was silent for a few seconds, my breathing became heavy. "That was awesome!" I exclaimed trying to defuse the tension.

That was when my mind couldn't take it anymore, and then I passed out.....
