The more Medusa talked, the easier it was for Percy and Annie to fall pray to her enchantment. Not wanting to join them in oblivion, I quickly placed my ear buds in. The story of us by Taylor Swift blocked out most of the conversation. However I could hear enough to see Annie starting to come to her senses. Especially when Medusa talked about once having two sisters.

Very subtly, I took Percy's pen out of his pocket. Uncaping it, I let out a sigh as it stayed in pen form. Snagging a napkin off the counter my hand drew a hasty picture of the monster. Showing it to Annie, as Percy continued feeling bad for the woman. Not realising that she once dated his father, and the reason she was like this was due to them disrespecting Athena.

I mean if two people were hooking up at a temple dedicated to me, then I'd surely be pissed too. As Athena had every right too. Unfortunately she couldn't punish Poseidon so Medusa got the full force of it. Along with her sisters.

"We'd best get going. Our ringmaster will most likely come looking if we're not back in time," I state, slipping the pen back into Percy's pocket, trying to drag him along. Annie and Grover were about to follow. Percy was starting to get groggy, falling deeper into the spell.

"It's best if we get going," Annabeth chimed in, as Grover began eating the wax paper off the tray. He always was a nervous eater.

"You both have such pretty eyes," Medusa admired which in this moment made me want to gouge mine out. Hey, it's gruesome, yes but then I'd be less likely to fall victim to her powers. She tried stroking our faces, and now I was highly freaked out.

Under normal circumstances if Percy saw me like this, he'd do his best to ease my nerves and make me feel better. However this Percy was having a hard time keeping his eyes open.

She was insisting that we all stayed for a photo, claiming she didn't get to be around children much. Child statues were popular, as everyone loved children. I bet you the gods don't, why else would we be given their dirty work.

"It's time for us to go," Grover says grasping onto my arm. He was shaking once more, terrified of the Gorgon standing before us. Only right now I was sure only Annie and I knew what we were really dealing with. Grover could just smell monsters.

"Come on guys it's just a picture," Percy says, practically agreeing for us all. Which now lead us to being lead over to a bench. "If we get out of this alive I'm gonna send him to Hades the easy way," I mumbled to the others.

She positioned us, Percy's arm around my waist. Mine was around Annie, clutching my dagger. Grover stood on the other side of Percy. Who realized the statue of the satyr really was his uncle.

Percy still didn't think anything was wrong. Not even noticing the lack of a camera. Medusa began stating that it was hot under her veil, and began taking it off. I plopped my sunglasses on, having slipped them out of my bag when we were sitting down.

"Don't look at her!" Annie declared and I tackled Percy to the ground, knocking some sense into him. Grover said the command word and took off with his shoes. As Annabeth put her cap on and vanished, rushing off to the side.

Medusa was still talking to Percy, saying she would hate to destroy such a handsome face. Then she asked him to look up at her, and if he did then he'd be able to stay with her forever.

"Don't listen to her Perce," I state, trying to block his view, given I was on top of him. I turned his head to look at the gazing ball not far from us. Upon seeing her true self, his eyes widened. Breathing heavily out of terror. I leaned forward whispering in his ear "You must cut off her head," then rolled off him.

She tried to get Percy to fall to her temptations by claiming she'd destroy Annabeth. But promised to keep Percy's statue in tact. Annie yelled from somewhere of to the side, saying not to listen to her. Grover came at her from the air, swinging a branch around. And as the fight was about to begin, my songs know what you did in the dark by fall out boy seeped into my ears.

I climbed onto one of the statues, trading the dagger for my bow. Shooting warning shots at the monster as she came close to hitting Grover. However the two of us could only distract her so much. Percy and Annie were talking about the best way to avoid looking at her. And soon Percy began using the gazing orb to keep Medusa in his sights without fully looking at her.

She knocked Grover aside as he flew a bit too low and I shot another arrow, severing a snake from the head. Which thudded to the floor, with a sickening squelch sound.

Percy garnered her attention, pulling out Riptide. He walked closer to her, and she still tried working her magic on him. He stopped in his tracks for a second, but it was enough for her to attack. She lunged for him, but he swung his sword. Taking the head clean off her shoulders and it landed at his feet. The rest of her disintegration.

I climbed down from my perch, making the mistake of looking at the severed head. Gagging I began walking away from them slightly. Emptying the contents of my stomach into a bush. Gods that was gross.

Annie and Percy were arguing once more as I came back from vomiting. Grover placed the veil on the head so we didn't accidentally look at it, since it would still work even after being cut off.

"You two are worse than an old married couple. Ok it's nobody's fault, you both were under her charm. I tried warning you sooner, as I saw her true self the second I looked at her, even with the veil. Now play nice or, like I said I'll send you to Hades the easy way," I declared as we walked into the back office. There we found boxes with shipping labels.

Sifting through the orders I found the address for the underworld entrance. Percy had placed the head in a box, while Annie raided the money in the cash register. Peaking at what he wrote on the label I chuckled. He addressed it to the gods. Paying a few drachmas it was shipped off to them.

"If they didn't hate you already, they definitely do now. But that's incredibly ballsy and badass of you Perce," I chuckled before walking back through the warehouse.

So far we've been attacked twice, and we hadn't even gotten that far. I wonder what's in store for us next. Hopefully we'll come up with a better plan....
