The ride down to the cabin wasn't too exciting, except for mom blasting music that we both belted out. Our music tastes were similar and spread through a wide range of different genres, but my favorites had to be punk and rock. Once getting to the cabin, the smell of fresh ocean air filled my nose. Creating a sense of peace. I always thought the ocean was beautiful and very soothing.

"If you stare any longer your eyes might pop out of your head," Percy's voice hit my ears, drawing me out of my reserve.

"It's just so peaceful, although I don't like that storm brewing," I replied pointing up at the dark clouds forming. It almost looked like the sky was fighting with the sea, as small waves began to form. Almost like our presence was setting things in motion. But that was a ridiculous thought.

"Come on, let's help our moms clean up some things," he says gently taking my hand and leading us inside. There were cobwebs everywhere, meaning the poor cabin hadn't been used in awhile. But that didn't stop us from smiling as we helped get rid of rogue spiders that now lived here. Placing them back outside where they were meant to be.

Once things were tidy, I set up my sleeping bag on a smooth part of the floor. Mom and Sally prepared snacks for us, which contained of blue foods and strawberry flavoured things. They were both quirky that way, but it was great.

We roasted some marshmallows in the little fire place that was there. None of us chanced going outside as rain began to fall. Creating peaceful sounds at it hit the roof. Making me feel a calm peace, as long as it didn't thunder and lightning. I was terrified of those, it's probably the only fear I really had, next to being alone.

Not long after we all began settling down for the night. Smiling at the happy memories that were created only a few hours prior. As soon as I drifted off, images of that camp filtered through my dreams. Always the same ones as I've been seeing every night for this last month. Nothing ever changed, meaning my subconscious was definitely trying to tell me something.

Percy had told he that he too was suffering from reoccurring dreams. His was of a massive storm raging on and there was also a horse and an eagle. He couldn't decipher the meaning but in it he felt helpless as he stood on a beach watching the scene unfold. Unable to move or say anything. Perhaps we both had some kind of visions of a near future.

A loud boom caused me to rise in a panic as a flash could be seen outside the window. It was like the whole cabin was shaking. And in the distance what sounded like a raging bull could be heard over the already loud thunder.

"Hey it's alright Mimi, it's just a storm. You're safe," Percy reassured taking my violently shaking hand in his. Which offered comfort. However our mothers looked on the verge of ultimate panic. As Percy tried calming me down, there was a huge knocking sound on the door.

Very cautiously mom went and cracked it slightly. Holding a baseball bat in case she needed to swing at someone. Standing on the other side of the door, was a very worried and panicked Grover. He was soaked to the bone, hair dripping and he had on these strange furry pants.

"Oh thank gods I found you. Ashley! Sally! Something's coming for them. We must take them to camp," he addressed our mothers and they both shared a terrified look.

"You take them Sally it'll be quicker," Mom says grabbing my things and placing my backpack on my shoulder "Please my little thunder cloud, stay with Sally. I'm so sorry it has to be like this but you're at the age where monsters know about your bloodline. Percy and you will be going somewhere safe. A place where your kind thrive," she tried her best not to cry as she kissed my forehead.

"Mom please come with us. This is about dad isn't it?" I questioned as a tear slid down my face. "And what do you mean by my kind. What am I?"

"Demigods, both of you," Sally answered trying to usher Percy put of the cabin. Since he was still clutching my hand, I quickly followed. Doing my best to not cry, whilst also trying to keep my brain from exploding from all this new found information. Information I was obviously having a hard time believing.

The two of us were shoved in the back of Sally's car along with Grover who was now anxiously chewing on a tin can. Sally flung herself into the driver's seat and I saw mom driving away, getting out of harm's way. I didn't really know how to react as I buried my face into Percy's chest. And finally tears left my eyes.

As we sped down back roads, trying to throw off the thing that was clearly chasing us, Sally went on to explain to Percy that all of this had to do with his father. Then she stated that the two had only spent a summer together but fell in love.

"Wait a minute," I state raising my head up with a confused look "If you were only with him for one summer then how in the name of Darth Vader was Percy born in August? My understanding of health isn't vast but he would've had to been conceived in like October for that to happen," I asked the burning question. Which was keeping my mind off everything that was going on.

"Um can we not discuss this while being chased by what ever that freak of nature is," Percy declared with a slight blush dusting his cheeks. It was hard to see in the dark but I managed to notice due to our close proximity.

"I was just curious," I mumbled looking out the back window "To me it kind of looks like the Minotaur from the Labrinth," I state hearing Grover let out a bleat sound.

"That's because it is!" He shouted as he ate his last time can. Eyes wide as a tree was thrown at us. Sally did her best to swerve out of the way but her efforts were frugal. The tree smacked into us with such a force that caused us to skid off the road. I screamed, holding onto Percy for dear life as we flipped over, landing upside down.

As we landed, the sound of the monster chasing us got louder. Meaning that we were toast.....
