Cody's pov

I finally entered the dark room and shivered as I looked all around me. Why am I here, exactly? I should be with my family and friends right now. Not here.

"Cody!" My best friend, Michael is calling for me to come. Run up to him fast, I do. We are at the airport and prepared to travel to London. For many years, I had been awaiting this vacation. "You seem ecstatic,"

I say, "Hell yeah!" I add, grinning. I fix my attention on Dakota, who I like. She looks amazing. But unfortunately, she happens to be with  Jeremy, one of my rivals. Oh, he is well aware of my feelings for her. Each opportunity he gets, he insults fun of me for it.

"Don't even think about it, dude. You are completely invisible to her. How are you going to make her notice you?" Micheal questions. My enemy comes to me with Dakota before I can respond, which causes me to feel nervous. She is enclosed in Jeremy's arms. Bit by bit, my heart is breaking.

"Looks like you two young brats are traveling to London with us" Jeremy rolls his eyes and smirks, "I'll make sure to stay away from greasy folks like you" The smirk is vicious.

I moved closer to his face and said, "That's what I'm going to do, Jeremy" he does, however, push me away. He pulls me up to his face by grabbing my shirt.

"You miserable brat, listen to me and stay away from my girlfriend. If you don't, while we are in London, I will find a way to make your life miserable. So I'd stay away and take care of my own business if I were you. Are you understanding me?" Jeremy speaks menacingly. I can't help but nod in agreement. "Good," he says, throwing me back into the wall as Dakota, who has a regretful expression on her face, turns to face me and follows him away.

Michael supports me in standing up again. "Are you okay, man?" I nod while groaning in agony. "Jeremy is going to make your life miserable, based on the look on his face,"

"I wish I could speak with her. Nevertheless, I feel like I won't be able to do that as long as Jeremy is around," I lamented. My life is just so unfortunate. I wish to date Dakota. However, as long as Jeremy is around, I won't be able to speak with her. We can't possibly be together. Michael, who has a waiting expression on his face, yanks me back into reality.

"Man, we're going to be late. In addition, Mr. Hart is calling people by their names," Micheal takes up the luggage and adds, "We should go," With chagrin, I take up my luggage. We make our way to where everyone is waiting for us.

"Alright, before we go inside the plane, let's go over some ground rules. The seats you have, whether you like it or not, will be your seat for the remainder of the trip. Next, act appropriately. Lastly, be respectful to one another," he says. As Mr. Hart puts on his glasses, he adds, "Now, let's go over the attendance.

"Dakota Johnson?"

"here," she raises her hand. I take a quick look at her. I looked away.

"Cody Grover?"

I hesitantly raised my hand in the air. "Here..." I withdrew my hand. After Mr. Hart reads through the list of pupils and says, "Ok, we can go to the plane," I take up the luggage. A group of boys are chatting about something as I go behind them.

I put my headphones in my ears and start to listen to my music. I hum along with the song. I turn down the music to check my surroundings. I board the plane once we have passed through airport security. People are putting their luggage in the compartment. I walk past while dragging luggage. I glance at my ticket.

"B-20," I mutter to myself. I walk there. Dakota is close to the seat, much to my surprise. I went there right away. I do my best to avoid her.

"Hey, Cody. Do you need help with putting your luggage in the compartment?" she asks genuinely. I have trouble putting my luggage in the compartment.

"N-no, I got this. Don't bother,"

"Are you sure? I can help,"

"I almost got i-" In front of me, the luggage drops. Oh, crap. Dakota reaches down and picks up the items, placing them in my luggage. "I'm sorry,"

"Don't be," she says. After we finish putting my belongings in my luggage, I finally place it in the compartment and shut it. "I think you have the window seat,"

"I do," I said. I take a seat by the window. Dakota is seated next to me. I feel very lucky to be seated next to my crush. I'm not nervous at all. I'm not sure why.

"Passengers, this is your captain speaking. The flight is about to take off. Please put on your seatbelt," the speaker says. I buckled my seatbelt. The plane goes up in the air. Sun goes down and the moon raises.

"This is your captain. Passengers we are in the air. You may take your seatbelt off," the speaker goes off after this.

Finally, it's about time. I take my seatbelt off. I look out the window. "I'm sorry for what happened at the airport. Jeremy tends to be protective of me..." Dakota says out of nowhere.

I don't know what to do at this point. Should I forgive her or not? "It's fine, Dakota. What happened has happened. We should forget about it and move on," I said quietly. I don't even look at her.

"I'm seriously sorry, Cody,"

"It's not a big deal,"

I want the entire flight to be peaceful. That's all I want. I want peace. I mean I don't want Dakota to say sorry to me for Jeremy's actions. He should be saying sorry to me not her. I don't blame her.

After all, Jeremy is an immature person who would do anything in his power to make anyone's life hell. I fall asleep as I sink into deep thought. Only to be woken up by another announcement from the captain. Dakota is his only excuse. She says sorry on his behalf.

"The flight will be landing in an hour. Put your seatbelt on as we land in London," I buckle my seatbelt on. Everyone does the same. The plane lands in the cockpit. It's a rough landing. "We are here. I hope you enjoyed the flight,"

I unbuckle the seatbelt. I take the luggage out of the compartment. I shut it. "Ok, class, gather in line as soon as you get your luggage out," Mr. Hart said. He looks as if he had just fallen asleep.

I went to find Micheal. Micheal is having a hard time, getting his luggage out. I help him to take his luggage out. "Thanks," Micheal says as I hand his luggage over to him. We walk out of the plane.

"Who did you have a seat with?" he asks.

"Dakota," I mutter.

"Oh my god, for real?" Micheal asks in a shocked tone.

"Yep, she even said sorry for Jeremy," I said.

"What did you say?"

"I said to her don't say sorry. All we can do is forget about it and move on," I said. Micheal muttered something under his breath that I couldn't make it out of. We catch up with the class.

"Cody, Micheal, where were you?" Mr. Hart asks as soon as he walks towards us. The whole class stares at Me and Micheal. Jeremy has a mocking expression on his face.

"Well I was helping him with taking out the luggage," I said.

"Ok, do not be late next time," Mr. Hart said. He turns to the class. "Let's go to the bus," We all go to the bus. Micheal sits next to me. We go to the hotel. I got to admit that London is cool. I stare at the view with admiration.

"It's cool," I mutter. Micheal nods and chuckles in agreement.  I quickly forget about Dakota and Jeremy. I wish to live in London. The view captivates me.

We arrived at a hotel. We pick up the luggage. I walk behind students. I walk out of the bus. The hotel is big. We all walk inside the hotel. The inside is so big. It has a big chandelier. People are at the counter getting keys to their rooms. I wonder who I could share with.

We even get our keys and I walk to the elevator. I go there by myself. I go to my room number 203. I open it with the key. I get in the room. The door closes behind me. It's so big. I place my luggage on the bed. I will unpack it later. I don't think I have a roommate. It's fine. Loneliness is my only solace.

I spend my day, unpacking and putting clothes in the closet. I think this is a good start to the trip or so I thought.
