Cody's pov

I felt as if I was getting dragged. "Cody, wake up," I finally wake up to see Amelia leaning against the wall and staring at me. I groan in pain as I get up. But my head hurts. I got knocked out badly. I think I might have a concussion.

"W-what h-happened?" I asked as I look around the room in confusion. "Where is Ben?" I began to panic.

"Louis knocked us out. He took Ben somewhere. I regret coming here in the first place. I should've come up with a better plan. But no, my impulsiveness came my way," I stare at her as she continues to rant. "I wish I complete the mission without you two,"

Now, I'm offended. I stand up even though my back still hurts. Who cares. "Can you shut fuck up?!" I yell in my lungs. "Look, this isn't about you. It's about England being in the hands of a monster who will do bad like other evil kings in history. For god's sake, stop making everything about yourself for once, Amelia!"

I sit down and lean against the wall. For the first time, I was about to raise my voice at someone. Let alone someone that I may have feelings for. Amelia sits next to me. "I'm sorry, Cody. I shouldn't have made it about myself. I forgot we were a team. You've got to open up to me about your dad and why you chose to be a closed book?" Amelia asks as she places her hand on top of my hand. I blush again. Stop blushing.

"I don't even know where to start. We were a happy family. Dad would take me and my brothers to amusement parks. That day, me and My dad were planning to go fishing. It was Dad's hobby. He loved spending time with me and my brothers. Tyler went to do his softball training. He wasn't able to go. Christian had to do his band gig. He plays guitar. Henry had to help my mom with chores. He was grounded. Owen went to his friend's house. It was me and my dad," I begin to speak.

"How many brothers do you have?" she asked.

"Four brothers. I'm the middle child in the family," I answered. "Tyler is the eldest and Owen is the youngest,"

"Wow, that must be a lot of brothers," Amelia said. "That's cool. Continue,"

"Anyways, me and my dad went to the lake. Lake was a peaceful place to fish essentially. Only his word before the crash was 'We are going to go football stadium with your brothers on Sunday'.  There was an upcoming football game. Someone's car collided with our car. I was bleeding so much. I was near to death. I managed to crawl to my dad. I was hoping that he will be alive. He was weak. He couldn't move his body. I shook him. Dad looked up at me and said 'Promise me that you will be a good boy and look after your mom. She is going to need you and your brothers too. Promise me to be a good example for Owen',"

Tears start to come out of my face. "I thought that he was joking. Little did I know he was going to die. I nod my head and told him I will do that. Dad closed his eyes. I tried looking for the car that collided with us. I saw a driver in a black car. I also didn't know if he was alive or dead. I passed out. The ambulance came to the scene. They took me and Dad to the hospital. I woke up. I saw my mom and my brothers in the room. I asked them what happened to my dad. Mom didn't answer. Instead, she sobbed. Tyler was the one who told me that my dad was dead. I found out that the driver was dead. I suffered a concussion. On the day of the funeral, it was hard for me to look at Dad's coffin. I had to hold back tears. I chose not to open up about the accident. I became closed book ever since,"

"Oh Cody, I had no idea," Amelia's eyes are covered with tears. She hugs me. I hug her back as I let out tears of despair. "I'm sure if he was here, he would've wanted you to complete this mission,"

We broke apart. I nod my head, wiping my tears. "We need to find the way out of here," I said. Amelia looks sorry for me. I find a hairpin. I guess I have to lockpick the door.

"You know how to lockpick?" she asked.

"My dad taught me how to lockpick," I say as I begin to lockpick the door. Lockpicking can be useful when you get locked with no keys. I finally get to unlock the door. "Let's go," I said. I walk out.

"That was impressive and clever," Amelia said. She winked at me. I start to blush. Wow. For god's sake, stop blushing. Mission comes first and then romance. I put my hand back on my neck, nervously.

"Thanks," I said. This girl makes me blush all the time. I mentally scold myself to stop blushing. Time to find Ben and gather evidence. The fortress is so big. It's like a maze in here. It's going to be complicated. Amelia keeps her head down. Why is she keeping her head down? Shouldn't she be helping me to find Ben?

Eventually, we hear screams. Screams of help. Me and Amelia run towards the scream. We see Ben. He is bruised and has a black eye. "Guys, get me out of here!" Ben says pleadingly. I start to lockpick the door. It takes me a minute to open the door. I open the door.

"Let's go!" Ben gets out. He kept on saying thank you to me repeatedly. We started to find the exit. We didn't find the evidence. But I did see Louis dressed up like royalty. I watched as he went to his car and drive away.

"Cody, come on!" Amelia says as she grabs my arm and drags me out of the fortress. We get in the car. We start to drive to Westminster Abbey. Time to stop the coronation.
