Telling Someone (Chapter 5)

Hitoshi POV

  I woke up the next morning thanks to my alarm clock, I sit up and didn't feel any nausea which I was thankful so I got up and started getting dressed for class. Unfortunately, I spoke too soon and was washed over with a wave of nausea moments later, I rushed to the bathroom and began throwing up. I finished getting dressed after that and headed to class, I left earlier than usual so when I arrived at class I was able to talk to Tenya. "Hey love" he greeted smiling I smiled and gave him a hug, "Are you feeling better," he asks worried "Yeah, much better," I say clinging to him. "You're very clingy today, is everything okay," he asks worried "Yeah, just missed you," I say smiling and taking in his scent. Eventually, the bell rang and class began I made it through the rest of the day with no mistakes, only a great miss of Tenya the whole day.

  I was leaving my last class when my phone rang, I walked away from everyone and answered it, it was the doctor they wanted me to come down to get an ultrasound to check on the baby. I told them I would be there as soon as I could so I quickly went to my dorm room and changed clothes, before I left I felt a sense of loneliness. I was going to see my baby for the first time and I was going alone, this made me feel depressed and lonely a feeling I didn't want to feel especially during this time. I sighed and forced myself to leave the dorm room, I was about to walk out of the dorms when my name was called I turned around seeing it was my dad, he didn't look very happy mostly worried. "Hey, did you need something," I asked a little worried "I..." he sighs "I just wanted to let you know I'm here for you, I want what's best for you," he says concerned, I forced a smile and nod "I know," I thought about the conversation I heard last night "I'll never do anything that you wouldn't approve of, I wouldn't do anything wrong unless I had too and even then I would try to find a solution where I didn't have to," I said before leaving. I walk down the street before putting up my hood and walked a little bit taking a few detours before going to the doctor.

  I walked into the hospital pregnancy center and signed in before sitting in the lobby, my leg bounced with nervousness as my anxiety built up. I was startled when my name was called, I followed the nurse and met with the doctor, we talked for a minute before they brought me into the ultrasound room. They laid me down and asked me a few more questions before lifting my shirt, they put the gel on my stomach before they began searching for the baby. After a minute there could be a faint heartbeat and the nurse turned the tv screen to show me my baby. I stared at the screen shocked, that was my baby, my baby inside of me growing and living, I began tearing up and I couldn't help but lean back, I smiled happily before looking back to the screen. "Everything appears normal, you have a very healthy baby," the nurse says smiling, "Thank you," I say smiling, fighting the tears, "Congratulations," the nurse says. They gave me pictures of the ultrasound before letting me leave, I was so happy but I couldn't hide this forever I needed to tell someone. I had an idea of who I was going to tell first, my best friend, I just had to find him first at the dorms so that's where I headed.

  I arrived at the dorms and took off my hood before entering, I had hidden the pictures inside of my hoodie. I went straight to my trusted friend's room, Shoto Todoroki, I knocked on his door frantically and went straight inside when he opened it. "Shoto, I need to tell you something very important but I need to know something before I tell you," I say sitting on his bed "Okay, I'm concerned but what is it," he asks "Is there anyone else in your dorm room currently," I ask looking him in the eyes. "No, it's only you and me, I swear," he says "Shoto, it is very important if we are the only ones who are here and hear this, okay? This stays between you and me," I say he nods concerned. I pull out the pictures that are in an envelope and hand them to him, he looks at me concerned before opening the envelope and taking out the pictures. He stares at the pictures confused for a second before his face changes to shocked, "I-what-are these real," he asks confused and shocked. I smiled and nodded, "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh," he quickly hugs me "Is that a good hug," I ask worried "Yes, this is great, you're-I mean you're, this is such a big deal," he says running through all kinds of emotions. "Are you happy," I ask him, he quickly nods "Yes I am, are you," he asks "Definitly, a little scared but excited," I admit "Well, I'm going to be here every step of the way," he says hugging me more gently this time. "Who is it," he asks "It's Tenya but he doesn't know, so you can't tell him," I say, he quickly nods "Who all knows," he asks "You," I admit. "I'm the first, oh I'm so honored," he says hugging me again, I hug him back and we sit there for a minute, "How far," he asks "11 weeks," I respond, "It won't be long," he says smiling staring at my stomach. "Can I see," he asks gesturing to my stomach, I smile and nod before standing up, I pull up my hoodie and smile down at my baby bump, he coos at the sight. "You're showing so much already, it won't be long until you can't hide it anymore," he says worriedly, I nod "I know, I need to tell the others so I can be taken out of classes," I say sighing "I didn't even think about that, you'll have to give up your hero life," he says looking down. I nod "Yeah, definitely not looking forward to that," I admit, I put a hand on my stomach and smile "But it will be worth it for this miracle," I say, I look up at Shoto and he's smiling at me. "Nobody is more perfect for this than you," he says smiling, I smile letting tears slide before hugging him, "I've been at the hospital all day, I'm going to go to bed now," I say picking up the pictures and putting them into the envelope, he nods "Yeah, go rest," he says smiling. I hug him one last time before taking my leave, I go to my dorm and change clothes, I lay the pictures on my nightstand before laying down and falling asleep.
