Telling the Father (Chapter 6)

Hitoshi POV

  I wake up to sunlight shining in my eyes, I get up annoyed and close the curtains to my room before going to check the time, it was early for the weekend. I was then hit with nausea and rushed to the bathroom throwing up, while I sat there I thought about some things. Shoto was right, it was going to be hard to hide my pregnancy I was needing to start announcing things very soon. I wasn't sure who to tell first, I decided to tell Tenya because if I tell my fathers they might murder him and then he would be confused about why he was being murdered. Now that I decided who, I needed to decide how, this was the baby daddy the most important one to tell this determines if my baby was going to have a father and if I was going to be a single parent. I decided to go to the only person who knew to help me, so I get up and change before grabbing the baby pictures, I leave my dorm and headed to Shoto's dorm room.

  I walked to his room and hoped he was awake since it was still early, I knocked on his door and surprisingly but also not he was awake. His hair was a mess, and he was wearing a shirt way too big for him that you couldn't even see his shorts if he was even wearing shorts but he looked wide awake. "Hitoshi, hey," he says perking up brightly seeing me, "Hi, are you alone? I'm not disturbing anything am I," I ask skeptical trying to peek inside. He blushed and quickly shook his head "No no, I was just being lazy today," he says quickly, I laugh "Whatever you say, can I come in," I ask, and he nods and lets me in. "Is something wrong, do you need something," he asks concerned "Well I was needing help concerning this," I say pointing to my stomach, "Oh, no one hurt you did they," he asks concerned. "No no, not yet at least but I was going to tell Tenya today but I wasn't sure how," I say sitting on his bed and sighing, "You're scared, aren't you," he says sitting next to me resting his hand on my shoulder, "A little, I'm afraid I might lose him," I say honestly. "Listen, I know Iida longer than you, trust me when he loves someone he'll do anything for them, he'll do anything for you because he loves you and this little one," he says smiling softly, resting his hand on my stomach when gesturing to the baby. I smile "So any ideas on how to tell him," I ask, he hums "Well there are a lot of ways but I think the best way to tell someone who is not expecting it, is perhaps just saying it, showing them it, or maybe something gentle to prepare them, like maybe a baby outfit," he says perking up "A baby outfit, that could work," I say thinking about it for a second. He rushes up and goes into his bathroom, he comes out a few minutes later and is changed into a new outfit, "Come on, we're going shopping," he says smiling "Now," I asked shocked, "Yes now, this might take all day and you might chicken out, come on let's go," he says grabbing my wrists and leaving.

  We walk the streets of the town for a little bit with our hoods up before coming across a cute baby store, Shoto pulls me inside and we began exploring. We both cooed at all the baby stuff, admiring the small outfits, and discussing what would be best for the baby. "Awwe, look at these baby shoes, they're so small," he coos, I cooed at them before going to the bassinets "Would I need 2 of these for 1 at my place and the other Tenya's," I ask, he shrugs "Maybe, but we can worry about that for after telling him," he says smiling softly "Oh yeah," I say remembering the reason we came here in the first place. "Look at this it says 'Daddy's Little Hero'," he coos, "Awwe it's cute but not a good baby reveal," I say "Fair," he says before continuing to look. We looked at a couple of baby clothes none fitting the reveal or some would say a gender, which would be good if we knew the gender. I finally found the outfit that was perfect "Sho, this is it," I say holding the baby outfit to show him "That's perfect," he says smiling brightly, we walk to the register Sho grabbing a few baby toys much to my protest. We pay for the stuff before leaving, "Wait didn't you pay for that with your dad's credit card," I ask as we walk down the street "Of course," he says holding it up "But wouldn't that show up on his thing and he will see that you or one of his kids bought baby stuff," I say, his face goes pales as he realizes "Shit, you're right but oh well, I'll deal with it but I'm not taking this back" he says laughing nervously, I laugh slightly as well.

  We go back to the dorms and go to my dorm room so we do not be seen carrying around the stuff. We put the baby's outfit inside of the gift bag covering it so it can not be seen before hiding the baby's toys in my closet, I flop down onto the bed. My anxiety was building up and it was showing badly, I was shaking slightly, Sho sits next to me and hugs me "Hey, calm down everything is going to be okay," he says softly. "What if he leaves me," I say hugging him tightly "Listen, Iida loves you, he really does, he wants to start a family with you, he told me himself but he probably wasn't expecting it this soon but he'll be happy no matter what time, he loves you and that's why he'll never hurt you," he says running his fingers through my hair. I nod and wipe the tears that escape my eyes, he breaks the hug and smiles at me "He loves you, he'll be with you every step of the way and he'll enjoy every second of it," he says before getting up. "I'm one phone call or text away, you need me I'll be here immediately," he says I smile and nod "But I know you won't need me because Iida loves you and wouldn't hurt you on purpose that is," he says before leaving.

  I texted Tenya a little bit after Sho left, I waited for him to arrive, calming my nerves while I waited which didn't work very well. I heard a knock on my door and got up to answer it, I smiled when I saw it was Tenya, "Hey," he says kissing my cheek. I blush and step aside for him to come in, closing the door behind him, "Is everything okay," he asks looking at me concerned "Yeah, I hope, I needed to tell you something very important," I say sitting on the bed looking at my feet. He walks in front of me and crouches in front of me "Hey, I'm here for you, whatever it is, we'll be together forever," he says smiling softly and kissing my forehead, this gives me the confidence I needed. I smile softly and grab the gift bag "Before I say anything, I want you to open this," I say my nerves growing, he smiles but is confused. He takes the gift bag and looks at me before opening it, he pulls out the baby outfit, he is even more confused than before and he starts to read the outfit. His face changes from confused to shocked and he quickly looks at me "Are you-." he says shocked cutting himself off "I'm pregnant, with our child," I say forcing a small smile. His shocked face turns to a happy face quickly "You're pregnant, I'm going to be a father, I'm going to have a family with you," he says smiling brightly, a wave of relief washes over me as I nod smiling. He quickly lays the outfit down and kisses me passionately, I melt in the kiss, I've been missing his touch for far too long, I wrap my arms around his neck deepening the kiss. He puts his hand on my back and lifts me laying me down on the bed, my legs wrap around his waist and he continues to kiss me passionately but carefully especially where his body weight is. 

  

  He breaks the kiss and smiles down at me "We're going to have a baby," he says smiling "We're going to have a baby," I repeated smiling, I put a hand on my stomach and then the other on his chest "Our family," I say smiling. He smiles and kisses me, I remember the baby pictures and pull them out of my pocket before handing them to him, he looks at the envelope confused before getting up off me and sitting next to me. He opens the envelope and pulls out the pictures, his hands are shaking as he carefully traces the shape of our baby in the pictures, "Our baby," he says sniffling a tear rolling down his face. I pull up my hoodie revealing my baby bump and his head instantly snaps towards the baby bump, he coos at the sight and rests his hand on my stomach. "Our baby is growing in there," I say resting my hand on his stomach, "Our baby is growing inside of you," he says smiling, "Who all knows," he asks looking at me. "You and Shoto," I say, he nods smiling before resting his head on my chest and watching my stomach I smile at him before I began running my hands through his hair. As I watch him I slowly fall asleep smiling, this was my family and no one can take this away from me.
