Shopping (Chapter 15)

Hitoshi POV 

  I woke up feeling the lack of presence of my boyfriend, I sat up and looked around seeing he was nowhere in sight. I frown before getting up, I grabbed a change of clothes before heading to the bathroom, and I changed clothes before making my way downstairs. I walk downstairs seeing Eri and Dad both watching tv, Pop, and Papa were on patrol, I enter the kitchen before fixing myself a glass of milk and a sandwich. I go back to my room and sit at my desk, I scroll on my phone, Tenya had texted me saying he had to go home, I responded before scrolling on my phone for a little bit again. I return downstairs seeing Eri was still watching tv while Dad was doing work at the kitchen table once again. I walk over to him and sit across from him "Let's go baby shopping," I say making him look up at me, "What," he asks "Let's go baby shopping, I want to get more stuff for the baby," I say again. Eri runs into the kitchen "Yes, Dad let's go baby shopping," she says excitedly, he sighs before nodding "Alright, go get dressed," he tells Eri who runs off. I smile before going upstairs making myself look more presentable before going out, I head back downstairs and put on my shoes with a little struggle but not much.

  We drove around for a little before stopping at a baby store, we entered and began looking around, I cooed at everything I saw. "So what all do we need," I ask looking at Dad, he sighs before thinking for a minute, "You'll need a car seat, a lot of clothes, a lot of diapers, a bassinet possibly 2, baby bottles, binky, toys, and a lot more stuff, we also need clothes for you, you can't wear the same sweatpants and hoodie every day, I'll have to talk with Nezu about the uniform situation," he says and I nod. There was a lot of stuff we needed "We can't pick out many clothes right now since we don't know the gender," I say gently rubbing my stomach and he nods in agreement. We went around and grabbed a few diapers, gender-neutral clothes, baby bottles, toys, and much to my denial clothes for myself. We paid for the stuff and decided to go get ice cream, we drove to the nearest ice cream shop before going in, we all got out own ice cream and we sat there with small talk. "Hey Dad, I have an ultrasound appointment Tuesday at 4:30, I'm allowed to have 2 people in the room with me, I already told Tenya and I was hoping you could go in there with me," I said smiling softly. He looked taken back at first before smiling softly and nodding "I'll be there," he says, I smile before continuing to eat my ice cream.

  We decided to wander a few more stores, we got a few things for the house and ourselves, and we were currently food shopping. I wandered to the fruit aisle and grab a few fruits, they were mostly healthy sometimes, but I was oddly craving fruits and chocolate. Chocolate-covered fruits more specifically, so I got a few things to make that as well, I took the stuff to Dad before wandering around again, I wasn't looking for anything specific just looking. Dad was already at the register with Eri so by the time I was done wondering they should be done with paying. As I was looking around I saw someone familiar and my heart almost stopped as I instantly recognized it, the face I was dreading ever seeing again, my biological mother. I quickly turned around and practically ran, if she was around then my biological father was around, they never wandered too far from each other. Dad was loading the last little bit into the car, he looked at me concerned seeing my expression once I reached him "What's wrong," he asks closing the trunk "C-can we go, now please," I say and he nods before quickly in the car which I followed.

  The whole car ride I was constantly on edge, making sure every car around wasn't following us and the drivers didn't look familiar. We arrived home, and before unloading the groceries and stuff we got, I was still on edge making sure no one was watching constantly. Eri went to her room as we started putting everything up "What's wrong," he asks, I stay silent, "Tell me what's wrong, you seem so paranoid and panic," he says. I finished putting up the last thing before shakily making my way to the couch flopping down on it, he follows and sits down next to me. "I-I saw my biological mother," I stuttered out, his face growing angry "Are you sure," he asks and I nod "It was her," I confirmed. "That's not good, did you see your father," he asks the first part was quiet, I shake my head "No, which is what concerned me the most, he was around he always is but I don't know where he was, he could've followed us, even if she didn't seem he could have," I say hugging myself. He hugs me, and I lay my face on his chest as he runs his fingers through my hair "They won't go near you or the baby, we won't let him," he says growling quietly.

  We sat there for a few minutes before the door opened, Papa and Pop walked in they hesitated slightly seeing us. "I'll explain in a little bit," Dad says, they nod before going upstairs to change, and we continued to sit there before finally letting go. I scoot over to the corner of the couch letting the other 2 husbands who came down sit down as well, Eri comes running down when she hears the other 2 husbands arrive home. She flops across everyone and we all cuddle in each other as we watch tv together, I got to pick the movie since I had a rough day. We watch movies for hours before we all fell asleep on the couch, while our 5th movie played in the background.
