Jane
I felt a hand gripping and shaking my arm forcefully out of what little sleep I was able to have. I kept tossing and turning all night I was anxious and feeling nausea worrying what was happening outside. Opening my eyes, sitting up quickly as Tiffany stood there looking tired in some clothing she borrowed from me.
"Your dad wants you downstairs" she said as I yawned tiredly getting up following after her
"Did they find river?" I said as we exited my room and I realized the house was really loud and there were people everywhere
Tiffany didn't answer me as I followed behind her quickly trying to keep up with her. Downstairs there were so many people here I didn't really recognize. But they didn't really pay me any mind as they were more focused on their conservation in small huddles than we me. Tiffany was walking quickly and it was difficult to keep up with her when I was still half asleep. We walked into my dad's office, which was even more crowded than the hall leading here. We had to maneuver our way through the crowed. I could hear my dad over the crowed angry talking to people but I couldn't see who he was talking with, until I heard my mother angry voice.
I don't care, just do it or so help me, you will pay for this" she said as they both looked at me and Tiffany emerging from the crowed
"Jane, you need to pack a bag and get ready to leave, you and your friends are going to go stay out of town for a bit until everything is solved" he said as my mother huffed standing next to him "will talk about this later" he said to her as she stormed off
"Have you found River?" I said as everyone standing around my father stopped and looked at me as my father just looked at a table that had paper spread out on the table
"Jane I gave you and order so as I said" he said, ignoring my question
"I will I want to know where River is, have you found him, do you know who had him" I asked as my uncles dean walked passed my dad
"Jane! do as I say, stop bugging me when I'm trying to focus, go do as you are told" he yelled and everyone in the room became quiet, my dad never yelled at me like this as I stepped back as he glared at me
"Jane lets go" dean said as I broke the staring contest with my dad and glared at him as I didn't have to make my way through the crowded this time everyone moved to get out of my way quickly
I stormed out similar to the way my mother had, fuming and irritated, he didn't need me to come down just to yell at me like that in front of everyone. He could have just sent someone to tell me to pack a bag to leave. I was climbing the stairs to my room, I glanced back and saw Tiffany and dean following me. Great I was going to get a lecture from dean on why I shouldn't miss behave like that. He was always trying to teach me something that I surely didn't want to learn in some idiotic way. I was in my room fuming still waiting for the 'shouldn't have done that' lecture to begin
"pack Jane" was all he said as I stomped and did pack a bag as a fumed about everything
"there I'm done happy" I said irritatingly
"yes, will leave soon once everyone else gets here" he said messing with his phone
"Well you seem to be more informed mind telling me what going on how they found River or not" I practically yelled at him, as dean stopped playing on his phone and rubbed his hand over his face.
"Take a wild guess Jane" was all he said in an angry tone as my heart fell into the pit of my stomach and the air escaped my lungs
"this isn't my fault, so don't get in attitude with me" I yelled back so angrily,
