14. Collapse

An explosion has been made. Luke hit it in the head.

The impact made it roar, its head has been crushed and burned severely because of the direct hit. Its blood is tainted in green and was pored all over the monster's body. It dropped the weapon on the ground and it fell to its knees. Pero wait.... kaharap kami nito and that means!

A pair of hand grabbed me by my shirt and I was pulled away before the monster could squish me flat on the ground.

I realized that I am lost in thought, I just can't believe it, si Luke mismo naman ngayon ang nagligtas sa amin, it's like wow, like really wow.

"I guess you really don't need me anymore." I uttered to myself.

"Hey Vic-!" What the heck? Naout of balance siya sa tuktok ng van at he fell and ouch! Ang sakit kaya! Bakit sa akin pa nalaglag?! Binabawi ko na yung sinabi ko! He can't live without my protection.

"Ouch..... Hahaha, Cool ba?" tanung niya sa akin na may ngiti.

"Uh, yeah, yung paggamit mo ng Grenade Launcher and all, except sa pagbagsak mo sa akin."

"You know that I am totally clumsy"

"Psh, I know kaya pwede ba, tumayo ka na, napakabigat mo eh." -_____________________-

At ayon tumayo na nga siya, yeah he is always cool and all pero may downside part siya na ako lang ang nakakaalam, he's really lame on the inside but totally cool on the outside.

"KYAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Lumingon kaming tatlo sa pinanggalingan ng sigaw.

It was Steph and Karl, rushing towards us and behind them was a horde of undead.

A HORDE! THAT'S TOTALLY PLENTY!! I can't even count them! What the ef! Hindi naman sila ganyan kadami kanina ah!

"Bilisan niyo!" sigaw ni Marlon.

Binuhat na ni Karl si Steph, Bridal Style... hindi ba siya nabibigatan?  Whatever. Nagsimula na din kaming tatlo sa pagtakbo, mejo malapit na lang ang pagitan nila sa amin. Damn, is this a marathon or something? If it is, then I might've win.

Before we reached the bridge, Marlon whistled, but what for? I don't count it as something special. Then he turned back to shoot one of the cars using a GLauncher to slow the army of the undead. Smart Thinking.

Tumakbo na ulit kami patungo sa next town. The moment that we stepped on the ground, I noticed a large explosion, para bang bomb.a

I looked back to see what's happening and I could not believe what is happening....

The Bridge is Falling!

"What the hell is happening?!"

"You'll find out later." -Marlon.

I ignored it and so we kept on running until we lost our strength, lahat kami napaupo sa damuhan at nakatingin kami sa malaking tulay, bumagsak na ang tulay at nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag.

What just happened? A large exploion occured and the bridge just collapsed? Why is that? Pero thankful na din ako at wala nang mangyayaring habulan, for now anyways. I checked how are they doing.

Luke is panting on the ground while Karl is lying. Steph is standing and so is Marlon...

"We finally made it out there, grabe, akala ko katapusan na natin pero damn. It hurts." ang huling sinabi ni Luke bago bumagsak. I just smiled, he did his best, he deserves a good night's rest.

"But, can we make it outside of the wall?" -Steph

"We crossed the bridge so this is totally possible." -Karl

"Don't you want to know guys kung bakit biglang nagcollapse ang Blankpoint?" sinabi ni Marlon bago siya umupo sa damuhan.

Oh yeah. I totally forgot about that. Why the heck did that happen? Para akong mababaliw kung may isang pangyayari na hindi ko alam kung ano ang nasa behind the scenes.

"There's no need to run" those words caught everyone's full attention."

[Flashback]

Marlon

"You'll save him right?"

"Yes, I will sir, I know na siya lang ang may kakayahang magtuldok sa lahat ng ito." ang tangi kong sagot.

"Siguro sa ngayon nakuha na niya yung PDA at yung Journal, I guess everything will go to the flow. When you find him, don't tell that I am in safety, if that made him rage, then we have a high chance of winning. Bring him to me, I will wait for three days, kung wala sa inyo ang makapunta dito, I'll consider you guys dead and we will set the bridge under fire."

"Roger that." ang tanging naisagot ko.

I need to save him, he is the answer to everything. He is the one who will be able to change it. He will be able to guide us. His high intellectual ability will be a great use. Reverting things back to normal will be impossible for him to do alone and the thing that he needs are companions.

You must not die yet, we need to meet each other and of course, you need to reunite... with your father."

"We're finally safe....." -Marlon said while looking towards the broken bridge.

"Huh?"

"Welcome...." a few people appeared behind us before he was able to finish the sentence.
