THERE WAS A MOMENT THAT Perse wanted to give up.

The wind whistled in her ears, flailing her hair around. Her stomach pulsing in pain from the wound, her heart racing from adrenaline.

She watched as Ikaris flew back to Sersi, the last thing she could feel was his hand letting her go. Without remorse, without regret.

The look on his face... how his eyes only stared at where he stabbed her. He wasn't brave enough to face her, face how the fear and realization seeped into her eyes.

She was going to die a solider.. a solider to the Eternals, a solider to Tiamut, it didn't matter.
She died fighting.

Nothing could heal her now, she knew it. Ajak was gone, no amount of human technology could fix a body created by a Celestial.

There was a part that wondered if an afterlife was waiting for her or if she would just blink into another life, in her same body.
But in that, her mind thought of Druig. He was gone and she would go with him.

It was poetic... something Druig would admire but never tell. The death of two lovers. She slowly closed her eyes, letting herself drift away.

"Get up... Perse, wake up!"

The Eternal snapped out of her trance from a familiar voice. She groans loudly, quickly clenched her hands together and spread them out.

The sudden rush of wind softened. The wind supported her, her body was levitating again. She looked down to see how close she was to hitting the water, truly ending her life.

"Fuck," She spat, blood pooling in her mouth.

The wind let her rise and fly down to the water. Perse drifted back to the beach, seeing Thena, Phastos, and Makkari waiting for her.
The woman held the blood in her mouth, she tried to look strong for her family.

Suddenly, she saw gold emblems around them, levitating them. Her eyes widened, and soon, Perse stopped her magic and the Uni-Mind took control.

Perse wasn't in control of her body. She was panicked in feeling her wound stretch and leak out even more, however, her panic stopped.
Her mind drifted into peace, calm collected peace. She didn't feel any pain anymore, she didn't feel her wound.

She closed her eyes and let the power go, giving full control. She felt her powers expand and grow, full effect. She could feel her magic seep out and bloom to its potential.

Her body jolted as the Uni-Mind stopped. The gold emblems guided her down to the beach and released her.

Her body felt light and strong.
She looked over to see Tiamut frozen, its head and hand only revealed. Perse never realized how massive a Celestial was, until seeing Tiamut.

His finger was thousands of feet in the sky. His head almost took over the ocean. She felt so tiny in comparison to him, she seemed merely an ant to his size.
