Addison sat on a picnic table outside the school when Mason suggested that she come work out with them and she didn't decline since she needed to get back in shape for soccer season that was coming around the corner. She was sitting on the bench hooking her airpods up to her phone as Liam and Mason started to work out. Liam looked at her and smiled knowing she was focused on the one thing at the time.
"You know how I keep reminding Garrett to give me back my hoodie?" Mason questioned as Addison looked up
"Yeah," Liam mumbled in agreement
"Well, I remembered you said he lived in that housing development on Spaulding so I went there, and guess what? The housing development is still in development," Mason explained making Addison tilt her head
"So?" Addison questioned making the boys look at her
"There are no houses yet," Nick stated as he walked into the room
"So unless the dude lives in some backhoe, there's something he's not telling us and then there's this other dude, man, He's been acting really strange, running to school for no reason, disappearing at parties, used to be my best friend," Mason started to list as Liam as starting to stack the planks
"Uh-huh," Liam muttered not paying attention to his best friend
"And he was apparently on steroids. You're not actually going to try to lift that, are you?" Mason asked looking at the weights
"Are you all right? I mean, is it about the game tonight?" Nick also asked as he sat down
"I'm fine, it's just a scrimmage," Liam pushed it off making Addison lay her head on his shoulder
"You know who you're playing, right?" Mason asked as Liam lay down on the bench
"Yeah, I mean, no. I guess I missed the announcement," Liam admitted getting ready to start
"Liam, it's your old school, Devenford Prep," Mason told him making Liam look down
"Well, I think that you guys will crush them no questions asked," Addison inspired her to add confidence
"Thank you, Adds," Liam spoke making her giggle
Mason and Nick shared a look before Addison grabbed her bag and walked out of the gym to head to the locker room to change into better gym clothes. Addison stopped when Derek pulled her into the boy's gym room.
"Dek, what are you doing here?" Addison asked as she pulled him into a hug
"Ada, Scott called and said he needed my help with Liam, who you had grown close to," Derek told her with a smirk
"Oh not you too," Addison started before he hushed her as he heard Liam coming
"What the hell? Where's my stick?" Liam questioned as he couldn't find it
