Addison had stayed the night at Liam's house, she got up for school but he didn't want to so she had to call Scott for backup. Liam had tried to fake being sick in return which they debunked since Addison had stayed the night meaning she would be sick too.

"No, I'm... I'm sick. I'm sick," Liam claimed as he covered back up

"You're not sick," Scott stated to the beta

"Yeah, I'm like deathly ill and It's serious, I think it's the flu," Liam remarked making Addison chuckle

"It's not flu season," Scott stated in return

"Uh, then I probably have pneumonia," Liam countered before Addiosn sighed

"Liam, you're a werewolf which means you can't get pneumonia," Addison debunked looking at her boyfriend

"But you know what you can get is in trouble for being late to school so come on, let's go," Scott directed as Liam uncovered

"I don't think I should go to school. Or outside. Or anywhere. Ever again," Liam stated to the two

"It doesn't matter what you think, okay? Because you gotta go, now all you do is pretend as nothing happened," Scott directed the boy

"Pretend? I'm just supposed to pretend?" Liam questioned as he narrowed his eyes

"Think of it like when Superman gets caught with his glasses off, you know, he doesn't give up. He puts them back on and says, "I'm still Clark Kent," Scott told him making Addison nod her head in agreement

"You want me to wear glasses?" Liam questioned the two

"No! we want you to go to school, okay? Go be Liam Dunbar just like how Superman has to be Clark Kent, like Spider-Man, and Captain America..." Addison started to explain

"Captain America is just Steve Rogers. He doesn't have to pretend because everyone already loves him unlike us, who everyone hates. They hate us for trying to save their lives," Liam fought making her nod

"You're right, we are trying to save lives. Which is why you're gonna get up and go to school and pretend like nothing happened because if you don't more people could die," Scott added looking at him

"Because of me," Liam mumbled under his breath

"I didn't know Brett or Lori. Well, not like you did but I know you, and if you're afraid of seeing more of your friends die, you'll go," Scott spoke before Liam finally got up

Liam got dressed and Scott left making Liam look at his girlfriend who was sitting on his bed, she looked up at him with knowing eyes. She pushed him to the bathroom to brush his teeth as she did hers. They walked into the school and everyone was looking at them. Nick, Corey, and Mason had walked up to them.

"Okay, not bad so far, this might be easier than we thought," Addison told him with a nudge

"Maybe," Liam mumbled before he heard the whispers

"Just block it out," Mason directed the boy next to him

"They know," Liam spoke in a soft tone

"Just rumors, they don't know anything," Nick added to the group

"They know everything, two sophomores on the lacrosse team were there last night," Liam countered to him in return

"Yeah, but it was late, it was pitch black out, and there was fog on the road," Corey tried to help but he shook his head

"It was a clear night. Full moon and a well-lit intersection, I have to get out of here," Liam spoke before Addison stopped him

"No, If you leave, these rumors never stop. Okay, you gotta just convince them that you're a regular kid," Addison reminded him as she looked at him

"I'm not a regular kid," Liam whispered making her nod her head

"Look, remember what Scott said? Be Clark Kent," Addison told him in return

"Clark Kent turns into a guy with a red and blue outfit and a cape. I turn into a monster with claws and fangs," Liam countered to her making her sigh

"Then just get through the day without shifting," Mason told him from beside her

"Look, Liam, people are saying that Brett and Lori died in a car accident," Nick added to back up his friend

"We know the truth, they didn't just die," Liam stated before he went to class
