Addison was getting their son Aiden out of his car seat as Liam went and unlocked the grill so they could open it. She never thought of herself as the white picket fence and going out to eat every payday kind of mom but she fell in love with being a mom after Aiden was born and she wanted to show everyone how happy she was.
"You look so beautiful baby," Liam greeted with a kiss on the cheek as he came outside
"You're only saying that so you can get lucky tonight," Addison called out making him scoff
"I resent that whole sentence," Liam remarked before taking Aiden
"Mhm," Addison hummed as they walked inside
"Okay, Uncle Nicky is here to take you and have fun as your boring parents work," Nick remarked as he walked in and grabbed Aiden
"Bedtime is at eight," Liam told the man in front of him
"Yeah, since you didn't listen last time," Addison retorted before Nick rolled his eyes and left
"When is a door, not a door?" A man asked when he came in
"Sorry?" Addison asked as she was confused
"When is a door, not a door?" The man repeated as Liam came over
"She doesn't understand," Liam stated making the man scoff
"Well, it's a riddle. I think she understands perfectly so I'll ask one more time, when is a door, not a door?"
"When it's "ajar," Addison responded to the man
"Like one of those, the jar I'm looking for has a special symbol on it, a triskelion, three spirals connected," The man pointed at the jars behind her
"We don't know what you're talking about, maybe you should leave," Liam stated coming to push him out
"Oh, It's a very special jar, actually. It was made from the wood of a sacred tree and used to capture a dark Kitsune, a trickster spirit called Nogitsune," The man spoke making Addison's heart drop
"Well, all these jars contain are teas and spices so whatever it is you came here looking for..." Liam debunked it before getting cut off
"You know exactly what I came here looking for, Mr. Dunbar, you all do," The man spoke before everyone's eyes lit up
"Adds! No! No! You don't know what you're doing!" Liam shouted as he chased the man outside
"I've been searching for this for years, I know precisely what I'm doing," The man spoke before Liam scoffed
"You can't control it," Liam told him but was ignored
"I don't want to," The man stated before he opened it
"Set me free," The Nogitsune urged the man
"Not until you make me a promise," The man stated earning a chuckle
