Dick and Jon came back the next morning while Bruce and Clark were having breakfast.

Dick said, "We have a lead. Some people left DNA at the scene."

Jon added proud, "And he found that out thanks to me."

Dick explained, "Gotham PD is looking into it to see if there is anyone that has a record was there."

"Like music?" Bruce mused.

Dick said as he ruffled Bruce's hair, "Yes, like music."

"Stop," Bruce said pouting.

Dick pulled his hand away to avoid getting bitten again. "But of course, I got my own sample. The batcomputer is currently in the process of... Processing the sample."

Bruce continued eating as they talked.

Clark asked, "Do you need me for anything?"

Dick said, "Just take care of Bruce. He's really at ease with you."

Bruce looked up at the sound of his name, but he went back to eating.

Clark asked, "What about the... J. O. K. E. R?" He spelled it out since Bruce couldn't read.

Dick shook his head no. "Somehow he is great at hiding, which is weird because he would love to make a spectacle of what happened." He was right. That was weird.

"All done," Bruce announced. He stood up and began walking away.

Clark reminded him, "Wash your hands."

"Okay," he replied. He ran into the kitchen. It was normal for a little kid due to shorter strides, but Bruce was tall. He could make it there sooner.

Clark sighed, "It's hard. Knowing that Bruce is like this because he was suffering. His own mind is his worst nightmare." He observed Bruce through the wall to make sure he was alright.

Bruce washed his hands for about five seconds.

Good enough.

Bruce left the kitchen to go down the hallway. He ran down there until he made it to the study. He went to his desk where coloring paper and crayons laid. He sat down and began coloring. He was calm and comfortable.

Clark exhaled and finished looking at him.

Dick sat down by Clark. "Yeah, I gotcha. Bruce was always resilient. He could get through anything. This was probably too much."

Jon sighed, "At least, Bruce is safe with you."

Clark wasn't sure what to say. Yes, Bruce was safe with him, but couldn't he do more? "Um," Clark said, changing the subject. "How is Lois doing?"

Jon answered, "She is being her usual self. Chasing a story and writing her next book."

"That's great," Clark replied. He looked down at his empty plate. He felt like he should be doing more. He felt like only looking after Bruce wasn't doing much. At least, Lois was going out and making a difference. She didn't let this divorce bring her down. She was making more strides than he was.

But it wasn't a competition.

Clark looked back up at Dick and Jon. "Are you sure there isn't anything I could help with?"

Jon placed his hand on his father's shoulder and said, "No. Just do this one thing. Bruce needs you."

Clark nodded, "Okay. Thank you for all you are doing."

Later, Clark went to the study. He found Bruce on his stomach while coloring on a sheet of paper. He said, "Bruce, have you went to the bathroom?"

Bruce went, "Mm-mm." He shook his head no.
