AN: Hi all! This is my 1st story after quite some time and it's nothing new really, but I've read 'Everlong' by WorldWithinAWorld and I really liked the pairing in it, always liked them, so... it's a bit unusual, but who says, only male rockstars are allowed to enjoy the company of someone younger? Anyway, I hope you at least like the BN parts.

Alone in her dressing room, after a massive show at the Hollywood Bowl, Stevie needed a moment to just breathe. She absolutely loved touring, but it didn't mean that it wasn't getting more and more difficult with each year. Fleetwood Mac had been on the road for well over a month now and much to her own surprise, things were going well, really well, so at least the lack of tension between her and Lindsey helped a little. The 2009 tour left a bitter taste in her mouth and she was a bit hesitant to sign on again. She was glad she did, though.
Finishing off a bottle of water, Stevie rose from her seat to start getting ready to leave the venue, when a knock on the door interrupted her. She hadn't even opened her mouth yet before Stevie saw Lindsey's reflection in the mirror. She smiled at him.
"You know, when people knock, they usually wait to be asked to come in." Stevie said. "What if I was naked?" She added, making Lindsey laugh.
"Nothing I haven't seen before." He shrugged, his hands in the pockets of his jeans. "Like, literally nothing." He emphasized.
"What are you doing here?" Stevie asked as she began removing her jewelry.
"Just came in to doublecheck if you're still expecting me in your room in an hour or so?" Lindsey smirked.
That was the part of the tour that was going really well. While Stevie felt as if Lindsey was giving her the cold shoulder during the Unleashed tour, this time things were completely different. Maybe it was the talk they had a couple of years ago, she wasn't sure, but his attitude towards her had certainly changed. I've missed you, he said, when the rehearsals started, I've missed you too, she replied. The rest happened naturally.
"Uhm-" Stevie paused, she cleared her throat and Lindsey raised an eyebrow. "Not tonight. I, uh, I've got plans."
"Oh?" Lindsey crossed his arms over his chest, waiting to hear more about her plans, which were apparently more important than him.
"I'm meeting a friend for a drink or two." Stevie shrugged, sounding nonchalant.
Taking a couple of deep breaths first, Lindsey asked. "And this friend... do I know him?"
"Why do you automatically assume it's a man?" Stevie questioned back, waiting for Lindsey's jealousy to rear its ugly head.
"So, it isn't?"
"It is." Stevie shrugged, moving past him to look for something in her bag. "It's Dave."
"Stewart?" Lindsey frowned, disgust written all over his face.
"No!" Stevie laughed, shaking her head. "God, no."
"Okay, seriously. There are like a hundred potential Dave's, so please-"
"Grohl." She cut in, so he would shut up. "He's taking me to dinner for my birthday."
"So, before it was just a drink or two, now it's dinner?" Lindsey asked, following Stevie to the small makeup area, where she sat down. "Haven't you two just seen each other? Also, your birthday is tomorrow, so he's not that good of a friend apparently."
Stevie chewed on her bottom lip to keep herself from laughing. "Well, since I told him, I'd be busy tomorrow because I'm celebrating with the band-" She gave him a look, both of them knowing that the band really meant Lindsey. "We agreed on tonight. And we haven't just seen each other, it's been a couple of months."
Lindsey kept quiet for a moment. He then took a deep breath and shrugged. "I guess, I shouldn't feel threatened. He's what, like, 20 years younger than you?"
Stevie scoffed, grabbing something that Lindsey had no idea what it was as she began retouching her makeup. "You don't think I could get a man, who's 20 years younger than me?"
"Not that you couldn't, I just hope you wouldn't try." Lindsey replied honestly, stepping behind, he placed his hands on her shoulders and started gently massaging them. He had to remind her of how good with his hands he was.
"Honestly, Linds, you've got nothing to worry about." She assured. "Surely you can survive one night without me."
"Well, I can try." He said, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "Why don't you come see me, when you return?"
"It might be late and you're an old man, who goes to bed at 11." Stevie joked.
Lindsey gasped, making her laugh. "Me? An old man? Goes to bed at 11? We're barely off the stage at 11!" Her laughter quickly died down once he placed his hand around her neck and tiled her head back. "Come to my room and I'll prove that I'm all you need." He then kissed her on the lips and let go.
Hoping that the makeup hid her slightly pink cheeks well enough, Stevie shifted in her seat and leaned in closer to the mirror. "We'll see."
