She stood in front of him, her once cold eyes staring at him with warmth and her usual stoic expression now replaced by a gentle, loving smile.
"... When is the wedding?" He asked.
"Tomorrow morning." She answered.
At the realization that tomorrow she would be someone else's bride, his chest tightened. After everything they went through together, she cannot be his.
"Will you come?" She asked.
"No." He answered immediately.
"I don't think I can bear to watch it."

The girl's smile didn't falter. Oh, how he loves her smile. He gets butterflies whenever she looks at him like that. And the way she called his name made him feel every existing emotion in the world.
"Thank you for everything, Shinazugawa-san."
"... I didn't do anything to be thanked for..."
"The time I had with you will always be a blissful memory for me."
Why now? Out of all time, why now? She's going to get married tomorrow so what's the point of saying these to him now? It only made him realize how late he is.
How helpless he is for wanting her.
"... Just this once..."
"... Let me do this just this once, for the first and last time."
And with that, he closed the distance between them.

So like, I just realized that at the end of the story Sanemi was left all alone isn't he... Giyuu still has Urokodaki but Sanemi my bby is left alone with his crow :(
So I decided to dedicate another book to this man Genya claims to be the nicest person in the world! Even though it will be filled with angst...
Oh well Nemi is a strong person he can handle the angst alright :D
