chapter three

~ one week later ~

today was the day i was moving into sunhee's dorm room. our high school has a dormitory because it's kind of out of the main area of seoul, so there's not a lot of nearby housing, even though it's a good school.  

my parents finally decided to move me into the dorms because when they saw the bill for all of my bus fees, they realized that it would cost the same amount to pay for the dorms. 

i packed up all of my belongings (including my albums) and put them in boxes. i arrived at 7:00 am and knocked on the door for room 602. i waited for two minutes until a cranky sunhee opened the door. 

"hi mr. and mrs. han..." sunhee mumbled as she sleepily looked towards my parents who were helping me with my boxes.  

"hi sunhee! thanks for sharing your dorm with minji." my mom thanked.

"no problem. it's my pleasure." sunhee responded with a thumbs up.

we dropped off all of my things in the dorm and my parents waved goodbye. 

"GIRLLL (where's matthew) WHY DID YOU HAVE TO COME SO EARLY?!"

"i was going to come at 7:00 pm...but then my parents set their alarm for 7:00 am instead" 

"i lost a lot of sleep because of you!"

"stop exaggerating and help me with my boxes" i laughed.

we had finally finished unpacking all my stuff and it was about time to eat lunch. we walked to the nearby plaza and entered the CU convenience store. we both got shin ramyeon and lemonade. 

later we decided to go into the department store and buy decorations for the dorm.

"omg look at these pillows! we need them" sunhee said excitedly.

 "omg yes!!"

we ended up buying three pillows, two blankets, and i ordered a desk for myself.

we put all of the things in the dorm and went back out. sunhee was going to give me a tour of the dormitory area. 

"here is the lounge area where sometimes people come to hangout"

we continued walking around for about fifteen more minutes. 

"this is pretty cool, i'm really glad that my parents let me mov-" i said as i bumped into someone.

i slowly looked up and to my horror, i saw ricky standing next to park gunwook.

"oh my god....i am so sorry!" i shrieked.

"oh, it's okay" ricky responded.

i looked to his side and saw gunwook standing in shock, motionless. i turned towards sunhee and she shrugged.

"um...are you alright?" sunhee asked, concerned.

"I- UM- I'M GREAT! PERFECT IN FACT! NEVER BETTER! why- why do you ask?" gunwook stuttered.

"uh...we should go now gunwook, see you guys at school?" ricky said as he pushed gunwook along.

i nodded and waved goodbye to them.

"what's up with him?" i asked.

"i don't know, he's a weird kid. always dropping his pencils for some reason" sunhee shrugged.

"did you know that they lived here?"

"of course, they're basically school royalty"

after that, we headed back towards our room.
