My characters are not perfect and they are not meant to be (even if some claim they are). They are teenagers; they struggle, they make mistakes and wrong choices. Each one of them has a piece of me and they are all unique in their own way.
Also, keep in mind that every person is different. Everyone has their own unique experience with mental health and everyone's triggers and reactions are different. Just because you think something is unimportant doesn't mean that it cannot be significant for someone else.
