Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, there was a man named Noah. Noah was a good man who loved God very much.
"Mommy, what did Noah look like?" asked the little girl.
"Well sweetie," her mom replied, "We don't know exactly what he looked like, but we do know that he was a very special man because he loved God and listened to Him."
One day, God spoke to Noah and told him to build a big boat, called an ark. God told Noah that He was going to send a flood to cover the whole earth, but Noah and his family and all the animals in the world would be safe inside the ark.
"Wow, that's a big boat!" said the little girl.
"Yes, it was very big," said her mom. "It had three floors and lots of rooms for all the animals."
Noah worked very hard to build the ark, and he and his family gathered all the animals in the world to come inside.
"Mommy, did Noah have elephants on the boat?" asked the little girl.
"Yes, he did!" said her mom. "And giraffes and lions and all kinds of animals."
The little girl was amazed at the idea of all the animals on the boat with Noah and his family.
When the flood came, the rain fell for forty days and forty nights. But Noah and his family and all the animals were safe inside the ark. They floated on the water for many months.
"Mommy, were they scared?" asked the little girl.
"Well sweetie, I think they were probably a little scared," said her mom. "But they trusted in God to keep them safe."
Finally, after many months, the rain stopped and the waters began to recede. Noah sent out a dove to see if the water had gone down, and the dove came back with an olive branch in its beak. Noah knew that it was safe to come out of the ark.
"Mommy, did they live happily ever after?" asked the little girl.
"Yes, sweetie," said her mom. "Noah and his family and all the animals were safe and they were able to start a new life on the earth."
Through this story, the little girl learned about the power and love of God, and how He protects His people. Her mom helped her understand that God cares for all the animals in the world, and that Noah was a good man who listened to God and trusted Him.
