Once upon a time, there was a boy named David. David was a shepherd boy who took care of his father's sheep.

"Mommy, what's a shepherd?" asked the little girl.

"Well sweetie," her mom replied, "a shepherd is someone who takes care of sheep. They make sure the sheep are safe and have everything they need."

One day, David's father sent him to take some food to his brothers, who were soldiers in the army. The army was fighting a big giant named Goliath.

"Mommy, who is Goliath?" asked the little girl.

"Well sweetie," said her mom, "Goliath was a very big man who was very strong. He was scaring the soldiers because no one could defeat him."

But David was not afraid. He knew that God would help him.

"Mommy, how did David defeat Goliath?" asked the little girl.

"Well sweetie," said her mom, "David used a sling and a stone to hit Goliath in the head. Goliath fell down and David won the battle."

"Wow, that's amazing!" said the little girl.

"Yes it is, sweetie," said her mom. "David was very brave and he trusted in God to help him."

Through this story, the little girl learned about the power and love of God, and how He helps us to be brave and do what's right. Her mom helped her understand that David was a young boy who listened to God and trusted Him to help him defeat the giant Goliath. And she learned that we can trust in God to help us, too.
