Something strange

My head was spinning as I tried to process what was going on. What hard started out as a great birthday quickly turned into a confusing maze of nightmares. "Why is it gone! It was there a second ago and now it's gone..." I wanted scream, cry, hide anything to get this painful feeling out of my chest. Sure having a soulmate and losing them was a common thing that happened as people often died but having a dead one then having no one?! That was unheard of! "I'll have to look into this...do some digging maybe." Called out Hunter as he scratched the back of his head and stared blankly just as lost I was about the whole situation. "None of this makes sense! How can you be so calm!" I yelled shaking now as we stood in the hallway as the bell rang. My head was spinning with questions. Who was winter really! How did he know me! Why did Hunter get so defensive? Where is my mark! What do those dreams mean! What's going on!

The hallway began to fill up with students all pushing and shoving in different directions all going to class. I barely noticed when I got shoved or tugged with the crowd until Hunter grabbed me and pulled me back to focus. "Juniper! Look at me! I know there's a lot going on and your scared. I am to! Right now though we need to get through school so we can figure this out after." He said forcing me to look in his eyes as he spoke. I took a deep breath and nodded pushing all my thoughts aside. "School...finish school...find answers..." I told myself over and over again in my head.

Slowly to the exhaustion of the morning slowly set in. The bell rang for history class to start and I slowly let go of hunters hand and blindly walked to class. It was like everything had melted around me and I was just slowly going through the motions now. "Finish classes...go home...research...find your mark..." I mumbled softly inside my head as I took my seat and stared ahead. The teacher wondered into the room next and class began but I couldn't focus. How could I focous when there was just to much going on! It was like everything was mute but yet still silently screaming at me. The dream...ah fuck what was the dream about again? A bus stop and a man no shadow? Then someone bleeding out...two other people? Maybe it was three...all standing around. What was next...maybe it was a puzzle and I just needed to find the missing pieces. What where they? What would I even be looking for though...

"Mr. Sky land! If you are feeling sick kindly escort yourself to the nurses office or join us in class." Yelled my teacher from the front of the room as he stopped mid lecture to yell at me. I snapped to my senses once again and nodded "your right and I apologize sir. I'll head to the nurse I just have a really bad headache right now." I said lying through my teeth and quickly grabbed my stuff and raced out the room. My head was feeling fuzzy again as I let my feet just wonder until they picked a random destination on there own.
