A smiled formed in my lips as I spun around to face him hoping to change the focus from my soulmate. "Is that for me?" I asked, teasing him as I leaned in for a bite only for him to pull away and take a bite of it infront it me. I gasped in horror and grabbed him in a headlock ruffling his hair up. June screamed out and tried to get away in a fit of laughter "ah okay okay! I'll get a new cupcake for you! Let me go!" I smirked more and laughed, nodding in agreement as I let him go. "Fine....oh are you guys doing anything fun for tonight?" I asked wanting to see if I could eat by him but not wanting to intrude at the same time. He shrugged and ran his hands through his hair ."Nothing crazy as far as I know...do you wanna join us though? The more merrier besides my mom sees you as her son in law anyway." He teased as he walked back up the steps to his house. I blushed lightly and nodded smiling "Yeah if that's okay! I'd love to!" I sounded a little too excited but I didn't care at this point.
June smiled and nodded his head "Yeah of course! You're like part of the family already." He said with a chuckle and a smile on his face. I nodded and chuckled watching as he opened his front door and went inside with a sigh greeting his tired mom once more. The door closed behind him and soon I was left outside to wander around in my thoughts. 'Why was I given a second chance...' I must have zoned out into my thoughts at this point because before I knew it he was back holding a cupcake out to me. I blinked out of my daze and smiled while taking the blue Forested cupcake. "Oh thanks." I said happily, taking a bite of it. As soon as my lips touched the frosting I swear it was like a magic spell had been placed on me that made all my worries melt away.
My eyes went wide as I looked at him excitedly and smirked. Without another word I took off walking faster down the street to school ignoring his frantic cries for me to slow down as I teased him. 'Yeah who cares about the reason I'm back. Let's just enjoy the moment.'I told myself only slowing down for a red light to cross the street. June ran up behind me panting and grabbing onto my shirt. "Why did you take off like that! You know we're not all blessed with your long legs!" He snapped at me as he gasped for air. I laughed softly and reached out to ruffle his hair but stopped myself, instead saying, "I think you mean my hood looks." I teased back joking as he rolled his eyes and crossed the street before me. I laughed and followed him wishing quietly that moment like this would never end.
