Waan gets home, opting to spend some time in his car before he goes into the house, the chaos that awaits him actually. Since the kids have moved in, everyday has been busy. He gets home and then they all cook together, luckily by the time he gets home all their homework and studying is done. They usually watch TV or play games. Waan and Wiew have been doing everything in their power to distract the kids from their lives. They in turn are getting closer to the two of them, something is still missing though. There is still a disconnect between them, but luckily he doesn't give up and is determined to make them open up to him. He sighs and readies himself to go inside. Before he even gets inside he can smell something amazing. He feels a bit of a sting, they started without him. As much as the kids need him, he needs them too. They have been the only thing keeping him sane since he and Tul split. Deciding he is being an idiot, he enters the house and is taken aback by all the people sitting at the table, looking directly at him.
"Well, aren't you going to join us?"
He swallows back the bile in his throat, not letting his emotions get to him. He clears his throat, "What are you doing here?"
Tul looks at P'Waan and is fighting the urge to run to the man and hold him. He shakes himself, "I made dinner, come sit down." He communicates with his eyes that they will speak about this later. He knows he is wrong for just throwing himself in the face of P'Waan after he was the one that ended it but this is Wins plan after all. Win never fails, so he toughens up and holds his resolve.
"Can we talk for a second Tul?" His mind is racing, so many thoughts running through his mind. Is he back? Is this a final goodbye? Is something wrong with him? Shit.
Torch watches the interaction, remembering he had promised P'Waan that he would help him get back together with P'Tul, for this reason he interjects, "P'Waan, I'm starving. Can we eat?" He feels someone kick him under the table, he turns and sees his brother glaring at him, mouthing the words 'stay out of it' but he ignores him and continues, "P'Tul made us a roasted brisket with potatoes and salad. He has been cooking it all day, timing it perfectly so he took it out the minute you came home. Please." He puts on his most innocence smile.
He sighs, this little brat. "Why are we waiting then?" As much as he would of liked to talk to the man first, wrap his arms around him, tell him that he misses him, he has to wait. He never takes his eyes of the man in front of him. He is scared that if he does, he will disappear from him again. Tul wakes up to go get something from the kitchen, "No." Everyone turns to him startled, in a calmer voice, "No, its okay. Wiew can get it. You can have a seat and not move."
Wiew immediately speaks, "Yes, I will." Before he wakes up he turns to Waan, "Hia stop. You are embarrassing yourself. Play it cool." He must have whispered a little too loud because he sees Tul and everyone else just put their heads down, shit they heard him. Before the hit he knows is coming, he wakes up and rushes to the kitchen.
Tul watches the exchange between the brothers, this has always been something that he was jealous of. The relationship between P'Waan, Win and Wiew always amazed him. The love they have for each other was something that he hadn't experienced before. When he got here with Win in the morning there was nobody here. When the kids came back from school and university, he had sat them down and explained to them why he was there. He had also asked their permission before doing anything. This is their home now and this is their family, they had a say. If they had held it against him for what he did then he would have understood and left but luckily for him, they understood after he had explained his view point. They had all helped him set up and get ready. He watched them from a distance when they weren't looking and his heart had swelled at the way they all treated and acted with each other. Clearly Rosie was the princess among the 4 kids, she gets treated like royalty but the boys. Wiew had taken his role as a 'big brother' to Torch and Rosie seriously, Rider too took his big brother role seriously from the little that Tul observed.
Just the few hours that he spent with them, he had grown such an adoration and liking to them. If he didn't panic and act like an idiot, he could have gotten to know them sooner. They just accepted him back after his lame excuses, even though he knows they probably wanted to kick his butt for making P'Waan sad. Torch practically said as much before being reprimanded by his big brother. He feels P'Waans eyes on him since the time he sat down but he doesn't dare look him in the eyes because he knows that he will cave and just run to him. They make small talk and keep the mood light throughout dinner. He watches the smiling faces before him, he sees P'Waan laughing and joking with the youngsters, but also keeping his stern side so they know he is in charge here. He watches all this before him and for the first time in his life, he actually wants this. A big family, kids, a home full of laughter and loud voices, just having dinner and talking about things that don't even matter. He feels the tears sting his eyes, he pulls in a shaky breath and excuses himself, not looking at anyone at the table. He goes to the bathroom and plasters himself against the door, just trying to get his emotions in check.
He looks at Tul when he excuses himself and sees the look on his face, shit. He is panicking again, he is going to run again. Shit, shit , shit. He looks at everyone and they notice the same thing. Wiew puts his hand on his shoulder and nods, letting him know they were good. He smiles faintly and follow. He knocks but gets no answer, he knocks again but still nothing. "I swear to you, if you don't open the door then I will kick it in." Before he even has time to finish his sentence, the door swings open and he is pulled inside and then slammed again the door. Before he can even say a word, Tul smashes his lips against him. He allows himself this moment, incase its the last, he allows himself to fall into the kiss passionately. Before he can get enough Tul jerks away and puts his forehead against his, breathing heavily. His eyes are closed and he is just holding onto his hair. "Tul... I."
"Shhh... There is something that I have to say first." He kisses his lips again gently. He musters up all the courage he can he begins his apology. "I'm so sorry P'Waan. I didn't think anything through, I was only worried about myself and didn't think about you or asking you for your side of the situation. I got scared but more stupidly, I got in my head about everything. Win took me to the house you got us, do you know that?"
He perks up at this, "So are you here because you feel bad? If that's the case then its best if you leave. I don't want you being guilted..." Before he can even finish Tul puts his hand over his mouth.
"No. The reason is because in that moment I realized that you were mine. I realized that me being insecure and feeling less than was all so stupid. I was the one who pursued you because I knew you were the one but somewhere along the way, I lost sight of my goals and the love I have in my soul for you. I want this life with you, I want this family, I want this home, I want to come home from a horrible day at work and look at those kids jumping around and causing a ruckus, I want to be a part of your life but I also want to be a part of theirs. If you can forgive me, I promise that I will make it up you everyday for the rest of my days. Will you have me P'Waan?"
He smiles at this, "Is that a proposal?"
Tul snorts, "No. When I propose it will not be in a bathroom. "
He pulls him into a hug, "Will you move in here with me?"
Tul smiles at this and pulls away. He takes P'Waans hand and leads him to his room. He can feel him resisting but once they get in the room he closes the door.
Waan looks at the door and then at Tul, "We cant do it now, the kids will hear us."
Tul pauses for a minute before realizing what he just said, "Calm your dirty thoughts, that's not why I brought you here." He walks over to the cupboard and opens them up. "Look."
He sees Tuls clothes lined perfectly in his cupboard, his shoes, jackets, pants, jeans, everything was here. He turns and looks at him confused, questioningly.
"I moved in already." Tul looks back at him smugly. "Well aren't you going to say welcome home?" He almost laughs at the look on his face but continues, "I'm waiting P'Waan."
"Welcome home?"
He smiles widely, "Aww thank you for asking me to move in P'Waan."
Waan just shakes his head, deciding that this is probably what his life is going to be like from this point on. Full of madness, chaos. Secretly though, he loves every second of it. His family is now complete, thank you God!
