A few months later, exams were coming close enough to study, but a question stayed in my mind. What would happen with Percy? A Kindly One attacked him at school! On a field trip.

Grover and I agreed to go see Chiron. We walked downstairs, and I knocked on the door. "Mr. Brunner?" I asked, fidgeting with my arrowhead in my pocket.

"Grover and Ms. Adira, what can I do for you?" Chiron's kind voice applauded. "We're worried about Percy, sir," Grover said, looking at me, and I nodded.

"He's going to be alone this summer. A Kindly One was in school! We know that for sure, and they know too—" I tried to explain, only for Chiron to grab my hand, putting it down.

"We would only be making matters worse by rushing him, young one," says Chiron, who's always been there for me at Camp. That's why he calmed me so easily. He, besides my mother, taught me archery. But, matters aside.

"But, he may not have time. The summer solstice deadline-" Grover started, but couldn't finish since he was cut off by Chiron. I had no idea what the summer solstice was, all I knew and all Grover would tell me was that something very important was stolen from someone very important. "Will have to be resolved without him, Grover. Let him enjoy his ignorance while he still can."

"Sir, he saw her...," I insisted, taking my arrowhead out of my pocket, looking at it.

"His imagination," Mr. Brunner insisted. "The Mist over the students and staff will be enough to convince him of that."

"Sir, I ... I can't fail in my duties again." Grover's voice was choked with emotion. "You know what that would mean."

"You haven't failed, Grover," Mr. Brunner said kindly. "I should have seen her for what she was. Now let's just worry about keeping Percy alive until next fall—"

A thud was heard in the hallway and I took my arrowhead, stroked its tip and pressed a button, showing my bow, which I wrapped around my stomach and my shoulder, and almost as soon as that happened, my quiver showed up. I grabbed an arrow, and flicked it, turning it to my mother's first real sword.

Fine celestial bronze, with gold on the handle with some padding. True celestial bronze. It seems like a long process, but it actually takes only a second or less from me practicing it so much.

I began walking down the hallway, Chiron behind me. I stopped to hear anything. My hearing, which was boosted more than other demi-gods since my mom is a hunter, didn't hear anything. So, I turned around. "Nothing," I said.

"My nerves haven't been right since the winter solstice," Chiron said. "Mine neither. I could've sworn-"

"No. Even if they were deafened, I'd at least have some hearing. I know what I heard," I said, turning around. I placed my sword into my quiver, and it immediately turned back into an arrow. I pressed the small button on my bow, turning it back into an arrowhead. I caught it in midair, and questioned what I heard for the rest of the day. But, with a long day of exams tomorrow, I had to forget it.
