I found myself contemplating so much over the prophecy. Something was wrong and definitely not right.

I sat with Annabeth near the picnic tables at the Arts and Crafts station, while she and I caught up on our plans for the year. But every time I began talking, my mind drifted to those prophesied words.

You shall be betrayed by one who calls you a friend.

Confusing.

And when the Hunter's Strongest Child shall take a beginning stand,

They shall walk hand-in-hand.

Trying to drift away, I thought of Grover, and how his life must be right now. He'd been through so much with me and Percy. Him being the third wheel in me and Percy's rivalry. Him turning into a torpedo and hitting Medusa. Grover and Gladiola the poodle. Him almost falling into Tartarus, with the flying shoes, the flying shoes from Luke.

The Flying shoes... from Luke!!! A friend.

The ones that Percy were supposed to wear. The ones that Percy told Luke that he wore. It all patched up. I stood up, and looked at Annabeth, who was looking at me intensely.

"I'll be back soon," I said, before turning and running towards the Hermes cabin. I slid in a mud puddle, falling in and getting my clothes all muddy. I stood back up, and ran past the showers.

I bursted in, looking at my brother's ex-girlfriend, who broke up with him because he didn't pay enough attention to her, when he literally spent time with her while he could. I must've looked crazy, because the mud was splattered on my face like war paint.

"Where's Luke?" I nearly shouted, standing in the doorway. Mattie, Carlos's ex, sat on her bed and she looked confused. "He took Percy Jackson for a walk in the woods. They came in a bit ago, and Luke dropped off his stuff, and they went-" she explained.

"Thanks!" I yelled, taking off yet again.

I ran along the creek, running in it once in a while, trying to get the mud off of me. Don't get me wrong, mud's awesome, but when you're running through the woods, trying to potentially save someone's life and you are looking like a madwoman... yeah, you don't want that. My eyes scanned the woods, looking for one teenager and one young adult.

Then I saw them, I hid behind a tree, then shut out everything so I could hear, using my advanced hearing to hear them. I peaked my head out so I could see. Luke held his right hand up, like he just finished snapping with his fingers.

"I wouldn't," Luke cautioned Percy, who stood there, about grabbing his pen. "Pit scorpions can jump up to fifteen feet. Its stinger can pierce right through your clothes. You'll be dead in sixty seconds."
