"What the hell is going on... Oh, hey, Tory," Sam sighed.
"You... you showed her..." Tory's words died in her mouth.
Sam's brow furrowed. "What are you —!"
Kira pointed at the picture in Keene's hand.
Sam shrugged. "I didn't show her anything, Princess. The pipe's in my apartment busted. The entire place is flooded, so I had to move all my stuff to the dojo until I can fix it. I had a few in my gym bag, including that one, but I guess the kids got nosy. Not that big of a deal. If you don't believe me — ask Kira. She's my neighbor."
"She's right, Mrs. Keene," Kira replied. "A good portion of our complex is —"
"Save it!" Tory shouted. "I asked you to keep my daughter out of this!"
"I didn't go to her," Sam glared. "She found me! She's a lot like we were at that age. Actually... she's better."
"That doesn't matter!" Tory squeezed her fist. "She's just a kid! My kid! I can't lose her! Or did you forget what happened to your husband!"
Sam's eyes flared as she punched Tory, making direct contact with her nose.
"Look's like Queen Cobra forgot how to strike first," Sam snarled. "Except for running your mouth. You know better than to use Miguel against me... or did your forget you're the one who caused it? Now — get out!"
"Or what?" Tory glared. "Because you still can't punch worth a damn. Let me guess: Run to Mommy and Daddy? Oh, wait... that's right... you haven't spoken to them in sixteen years. I've lost count of how many times they've asked me to look out for you, and put up with all your shit! Until, they finally gave up on you themselves. Do you have any idea what you put them through?"
"Wow. Someone always has to be the bad guy with you, huh?" Sam tried to control the rage in her voice, cutting her eyes at Kira and Keene. "Because you always were the perfect daughter, sister... and victim, right? Kira, Keene, you two wanted to know what really happened at the great Cobra Kai Massacre of 2019? Miguel and I dated for a few months, and then broke up... when he met Tory at Cobra Kai. So, they got together, while I went on a few dates with Robby who'd recently joined Miyagi-Do. Tory was a psychotic bitch back then and made my life hell. One thing led to another and she saw me kiss Miguel while I was drunk. The very next day at school, Keene's sweet mother —"
"Sam — don't!" Tory shouted.
"Mom? You — you didn't — you weren't —?!"
"Oh, she was," Sam smirked. "She started the school fight over a kiss. She tried to kill me." Sam rolled up the sleeve of her gi. "You see these scars? She couldn't beat me in a fair fight — so she used a freaking spiked bracelet to slash my arm. And while she did that, Keene, your dad attacked Miguel. Miguel won the fight. He had Robby right where he wanted him. He could've broken your dad's arm. But he didn't. Miguel decided to show him mercy... and guess what Robby did. He kicked Miguel off the second floor railing, where he was in a coma for —"
"SHUT UP!" Tory quickly sweep-kicked Sam's leg, tackling her. Tory raised her fist, preparing to strike as...
"Funny how easily we could always switch back and forth," Sam smirked. "Still think everything's black and white, sis?"
"Aunt Tory?"
Tory glanced up and saw Brandon staring at her in shock next to Eli and Demetri.
"What the hell's going on?" Demetri glared.
"Get off of her, Tory," Eli forced his voice to remain calm. "We're all friends here."
"Yeah... I forgot we were always going to be friends. But I guess I wasn't the only one. We all only remember the things when we want to. Betsy, get your stuff, we're leaving. ...Betsy?"
