Is It Over

-Your POV-

I had fun here the past couple of days, it was also relaxing to get away from the real world for a minute. I just hope Loki is okay. There's been bon fires every night, and I've become one of them. I don't want to leave here, though I know I can come back at anytime. It was golden hour and everything turned orange. You can see the smoke from the fire pit dance around the leaves and a trail of sparkle from passing fairies. I continued to venture around and check up on some of my new friends. Suddenly, I heard a whisper and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. As I continued walking, the whisper became more clear. It sounded like Mothers voice. I reached the willow tree and found her waiting. I climbed the root steps and greeted her.

"Hello Mother, is everything okay? Was that you I heard?" I asked with a faint smile.

"Yes, that was me darling, no bad news. Though, I know you'll be excited to hear; Loki is near." Mother informed.

I couldn't hide my smile getting bigger. I had so many questions and didn't know where to start. I think mother noticed and informed me that not to rush to him, but let him come to you.

"He has entered the vines, but doesn't seem so happy. He's ok though... physically" Mother said while looking around.

"Thank you mother. I'll wait for him in the tree house" I said with a bow and walked down the roots. I was greeted by a couple friends and they started a conversation as we walked back to Loki's part of the tree house. Once we got up there, everyone was just as excited as I am. They helped me put an outfit together and put a plan together for tonight. "I wonder was news Loki has" a small voice said while changing out the flowers in my hand crafted vase. "I'm not sure friend, but we will find out soon" I said while scrambling around trying to change.

-Lokis POV-

I've entered the vines and I know mother had already sensed that I was here. I brushed off a little before approaching the willow tree. I noticed mother was already standing there.

"Mother, I brought some news, may I approach?" I said as I bowed.

"You may Loki" she said with a smile.

I climbed the roots and she held out her hands.

"I am so happy you have returned Loki. I know your journey must have been thrilling, but all is well here. Before you ask, (Y/N) is safe and sound. She's been worried like the rest of us, but now that you're back, I know the weights will be lifted" Mother was pleased to say.

"I'm so thankful for your help mother, but may I speak with you privately?" Loki asked.

Mother stood up and gestured kindly to the others to leave the willow for a few moments. Once the tree was cleared, she waved towards the drooping branches as they closed, leaving Loki and her in their own room of privacy.

I've informed mother what went on on the other side of those vines and pleaded for her opinions. We've exchanged words, and before I knew it, the tree was open again.

"Go now Loki, trust yourself, it will be alright" I smiled and bowed as I kissed mothers hand and made my way down the roots. As I walked towards the tree house, I was greeted with smiling trolls. "We are so happy to see you are back Loki" a soft husky voice said. I couldn't hide my smile at this point. I feel a little better now. I looked up and noticed no one was in the trees and creatures started to make their way to the fire pit. I guess this will give me enough time to think as I walk. As I came closer, the moon shimmered through the trees, and the fire became brighter. (Y/N) was dancing and singing with everyone. My heart fluttered when I saw her, it was like the first time all over again. The sounds of laughter and everyone having a good time made me feel a bit better. I believe I should tell (Y/N) once we get back to the tree house. I wouldn't want to ruin this moment.

"Hey look there's Loki!" someone shouted. One of the taller creatures came up to me a guided me to the circle. I couldn't help but to smile and laugh at the wonderful greetings. I looked up and found (Y/N) looking at me with a smile.

-Your POV-

When I saw Loki interact with everyone, I couldn't help but to show a cheesy smile. He was so wonderful with how he treats everyone. Sometimes I forget he's actually Loki. I know where he comes from, but something brought out that spark in him, and it made me feel happy that he wasn't hurting. I wanted to walk up to him, but I wanted him to say hello to everyone first. A gap formed like a line dance showing Loki at the other end. He was holding a small troll with a smile. He sat them down and walked towards me. My heart began to flutter. Music started as he stood in front of me. "Sing for me (Y/N)" Loki whispered. I took a step back and bowed at him. Everyone found somewhere to sit and I began to sing.

Everyone swayed and smiled. Mother walked over and sat beside us. She held a creature in her lap. I stole a glance at Loki as I sang and noticed him looking around with a smile and tears forming. I laid a hand on his leg and bowed my head. Everyone started to sing along which made the tears fall from Lokis eyes. Everyone stood up and cheered for each other as the song ended. "One more song?" I asked everyone. They cheered louder and I began to sing a more upbeat song.

We laughed and danced in a circle around the fire. I looked around and everything was going in slow motion. Twinkling lights, the smoke swirling as it rose and the moon joined us in a dance. This moment couldn't get better than what was now. I came back and had more fun than I ever did. The song came to an end and I was getting tired. I thanked everyone and said my good nights. Loki and I walked away and could still hear everyone having a good time.

I held Lokis hand as we made it back to the tree house. "I am so happy to see you Loki" I said as I held onto his arm. I looked up at him and he smiled. We made it up to the tree house and we both sat on the bed. "(Y/N) there's some things I need to tell you. It's about Asher. Now I don't mean to put you in a worry, but its the reason why I left" Loki informed me. I felt my smile slowly fading but I cared for nothing more than to have Loki safe sitting here next to me. "What ever it is, I know its going to be ok. You're here with me and that's all that matters" I said to him as looking him softly.

Loki told me everything that had happened in every detail. I stood up and looked around for something to say. I felt so many emotions and had so many questions, I didn't know what to share first. Loki then stood up to and held my hands. "What ever you it is you feel, or have to say, I'm here and understand" Loki informed me. I gently laid a hand on his face, gesturing that I wasn't upset. "Loki, what you did was brave, and I thank you for everything you've done. Yes you were right about how I don't like to cause harm to anyone, but Asher is different. He deserved everything that was coming to him. The frightening thing is; he doesn't know when to stop. He always finds a way to make things worse than it is. Who knows what his next plan will be. After leaving him in the woods, who knows what happened after that. Did he escape and cover those tracts, did he accept the fact that he might be going to jail after he gets help?" I had so many more questions and my mind. "(Y/N) I will keep you safe till this is over and he's finished taunting you for good" Loki said while holding my arms. I took a deep breath and accepted the fact that Asher is still out there.
