It was a cold rainy night in Baltimore City. You were walking around with your boyfriend Asher. You two stayed close to each other under the umbrella. He wrapped one arm around your waist and the other holding the umbrella handle. You wrapped both of your arms around him as you two continued walking.
The wind started to pick so you two ran to the nearest shop that was open. Asher reaches in his pocket to grab his phone to call a taxi. You signal him saying you're going to find a restroom and he nods 'ok'. You eventually find the restroom and knock. There was only one unisex restroom. Then right when you were finished knocking a tall gentalman walked out with a long trench coat and a deep green scarf. You really didn't get a look at his face. You were just focused on getting a couple paper towels. You walk in, grabbed a couple paper towels and walk out. You head back to the front where Asher was. You offer to dry his face as you bring the paper towel close to him, then he gently takes it from you and mouths "thank you" as he continues to talk on the phone. You give him a quick smile as you lift your eyebrows and nod and turn away.
You look around to see what this little convenient store had. You wonder around up and down the couple tight isles it had. As you turn down the last one, you see the same guy that came out of the bathroom checking out. Then you see Asher next to him hang up the phone and sigh "damnit". You sat down what ever was In your hand and walked up front to meet your boyfriend.
"Hey Ash, everything ok?" You ask softly. The man was still at the counter waiting for the change, then he walks out into the rain. "It looks like we're walking hotcakes" Asher said in his greaser accent. You two prepare yourselves for the rain as you put your hood up and he puts his phone in his pocket. Asher opened the door for you to walk out. "Ladies first" he said while looking out into the rain. You walk passed him ignoring what he said. You didn't mind him acting rude at times. It was just his tough way as saying he loves you.
