Duncan's POV
I was sitting on the couch replying to some of my important emails on my laptop sipping my coffee once in a while, I looked to my side as I heard footsteps my face immediately got its smile back.
While she glared at me " Good morning baby girl" I said carefully.
She did not respond she moved toward me taking that as a signal I placed my laptop and coffee on the table in front of me. She moved closer placing herself into my lap straddling me her neck placed in the crook of my neck, while one hand played with the tendrils of my hair, her other hand placed on my arm.
" what's wrong love ?" I questioned being gentle, while one hand was holding her by the waist keeping her in place, while the other gently brushed her hair.
"Nothing just missed you " she mumbled, placing a kiss on my shoulder with her eyes still closed.
A smile formed on my face as if on cue "Don't smile Teddy" she instructed. Sitting up straight and looking at me " I did not smile " I protested.
" oh yeah ....tell these curved edges of your face" placing her fingers over them, pressing into them widening my smile.
"It's all your fault for making me feel this way, how many times do I have to tell you not to leave me alone," she said pouting her lips, moving forward I placed a kiss on them unable to resist.
"See this is what you do....and then I forget what I was mad at you for ..." she complained, still looking a little surprised by the kiss.
" By the way why are you up so early ..... it's freaking Saturday Mr. William you got to cuddle and sleep and be all lovey-dovey with your beautiful wife" she said raising her brows and giving me a cheeky smile.
" Really???" I questioned acting all dumb.
" Yes she will love it " she replied.
" Nahhh.... I don't think so my wife's a bit different .... She doesn't like cuddles" I said, casually. I could see I was getting on her nerves.
" Nahhh ... she'll love it ... she told me, trust me.... Just go on and kiss her " she instructed pouting her lips.
" tsk ...." I clicked my tongue nodding my head.
" what do you mean by ? " she asked mimicking me clicking her tongue.
" I mean I don't want to kiss my wife " I stated, her eyes widened for a second.
" but you are supposed to kiss your wife " she whined.
" I know ... I know... but you know what my wife doesn't love me as much as I love her... so I don't want to force her to do things you know?" I said in a sad tone not looking at her.
" What do you mean by I don't love you as much as you do ?" She yelled annoyed her anger gauge breaking its peak, her eyes crinkling at the corners making her look so adorable, gosh I love her so much.
" I mean she doesn't ...." I couldn't finish as she cut me off "Forget about the dumb she..." she said trying to be calm.
" fine...you never tell me how much you love me, or I....i..." I couldn't think of anything else because there was nothing against her, she was perfectly made for me.
" or?" she questioned desperately.
" I mean you get it right love...things like that," I said trying to act pissed.
She held my face in her tiny hands " I am sorry..." she gently mumbled, closer to my face.
Making me feel guilty, " I am sorry for making you feel like I don't love you enough...I know I can be hostile to your feelings sometimes, but I love you... every second you're always on my mind...even with you around me I still miss you...I love it when you talk to me like you can trust me, I love hearing your snores next to me...it comforts me.....I love it when you hold my hands in yours, I love your gentle touches, your sweet nothings, I love that you let me fight my battles, showing me you're always on guard, I love it when you tease me...I even love you when you wear your dirty-ass grey shirt of yours though it gives me nightmares " she said chuckling, making me laugh as well.
