You awoke with a startle, confusion settling over you as you felt a force push you forcefully. You heard Scaramouche sigh in relief and grumble, crossing his arms over his chest in annoyance."A simple 'good morning' would've been fine, you know!" You exclaimed, brushing off imaginary specs of dust off of your shoulders.
"And getting an ounce of peace without your grabby hands clawing at me would've been nice, but we can't all get what we want, can we? You're lucky I didn't drown you in that river over there" He stated, tone cold.
"Oops, haha...." You rubbed the nape of your neck awkwardly. He only tutted in response, looking away.
You stretched your arms high above your head, relief washing over you.
You realised you had to get back to your part time travelling partner, as you promised you'd aid him in whatever he needed you for.
You stood up, patting your hair, flattening the strands that stuck out.
Scaramouche only quirked a brow when you reached your hand out to him. However, he got up on his own.
"Are we headed back to the teapot?" He inquired, as he stifled a yawn. You felt quite guilty, seeing as he was deprived of his sleep due to you.
"I'm afraid we'll have to part ways, I have stuff I have to take care of. Thank you for a good time."
"I don't need your thanks. Be careful on your way, there are monsters lurking"
He looked genuinely concerned, a hand on his chest, were his nonexistent heart would have been.

Scaramouche placed the smooth yellow-tinted paper on his desk, ruffling his hair in irritation.
"A letter from the akademiya, hmm?" He sighed, "I don't have a choice, I'm indebted to her, anyway"
The contents of the letter was Scaramouche's admission confirmation into Vahumana, one of the six Darshans of the akademiya. It had appeared that Nahida had signed him, in hopes of him to make advances in life and socialize.
He packed a few essentials, not taking much with him. It would take a short while to arrive at the akademiya, but this would suffice.
Scaramouche was about to depart when he felt as if he was forgetting something.
He took a few steps back, eyeing the elegant ballerina figurine you had gifted him. Without a thought, he packed it with his belongings, a feeling of warmth blooming in his chest.

You mindlessly stomped up the wooden stairs at the teapot, feeling exhausted out of your mind, Aether smiling tiredly at you as he waved goodnight.
Before you got ready for a night of refreshing sleep, you were curious as to know if Scaramouche had got back from whenever he ran off to.
You knocked heavily on his door.
No reply
Then again....
No reply.
A third, and final time.
No reply.
You opened his door carefully, assuming he was asleep. Though, the neat and empty room suggested otherwise.
You were to tired to care, he'd probably be back by sunrise.
One thing you did notice as you were about to shut the door, was a limb of the figurine you had bought him.
Your heart ached, did he really hate it that much? You shut the door, desperately in need for rest.
