HARRY STYLES
OCTOBER 15TH, 2021

Monday was probably one of the best days I have had in a very long time. Amelia and I spent the entire afternoon in the state of bliss we should have been in all this time. I was able to hold her tightly to me without any worry holding me back. I could kiss her temple and silently remind her that I was there. I didn't have to hold myself back from whispering sweet nothings in her ear and giving her soft praises of how much I adore her.

I could do exactly what I had begged of her; finally stopping the dancing around one another. We could finally be free of the things holding us back and find the happiness we both longed from one another. The happiness we both deserved.

And those words she had uttered right before the fireworks had exploded.

"Won't you just kiss me before we have to do all that talking?"

All I could do was smile at her before I dived right in.

The talking never came though. We were too busy acting like teenagers in love and fell asleep tangled together on the couch. I woke up with Ruby sitting opposite of us just staring. More specifically, she was focused on the arms I had wrapped around Amelia before falling asleep. One hand splayed across her swollen belly. The other supporting her neck with my hand intertwined with hers.

Startled, I had moved a bit and caused Amelia to stir in her sleep, eventually waking up to see Ruby staring at us too. I was waiting for Ruby to scream a slew of curses at me honestly. Yet all she could say was, "I fear tonight is going to be me drinking enough wine for the both of us, Mia."

Needless to say, we both moved in a hurry to untangle our limbs. Both of our cheeks were red as if we had been caught doing far more scandalous activities. Neither of us uttered a word until I spoke up to announce I was going to head out and let them have their girls night. I didn't particularly want to be in the room when I knew I was to be the subject of their conversation.

Quickly, I bid my goodbyes to Ruby and Amelia followed me to their front door, out into the hall.

"I'm sorry you feel like you need to leave," Amelia whispered.

"No need to be sorry, love. It's getting late and I know you want to talk about everything that happened today -- with the doctors, I mean."

She chuckled and inched closer to me. "You know that's not all I want to talk about. Speaking of talking, we never got around to it."

I wasn't planning on doing it right here. "What do you say about coming to my place Sunday night? I'll cook you some dinner and we can talk as long as we need to. You can stay over, too. Only if you want to, of course." I know it was a bold move, but it slipped out of me anyway.

She played her side of the game as well. "I don't know about staying over, but I'll pack a bag just in case. I'll swing by around seven?" She finished her words with a subtle wink.
