Draken POV


"And are you sure you don't want me to stay?", I ask my little sister again to make sure. A little back and forth still ensues and we agree that I should bring her something and if something happens, she will call me. I will still worry the whole time. After all, she's clumsy and doesn't pay that much attention to herself.

Sighing, I leave the building and become more unsure if I can leave her alone. I make my way to Emma's house, as we plan to go to the festival together. When I arrive at her place, she is already standing outside waiting for me. When she notices me, she immediately comes running towards me and falls around my neck.
"Damn, you look good," I compliment her after she gets off of me and I can look at her.
"Hehe, thank you! I got all dressed up just for you!" she grins and turns again so I can see everything. So damn hot, I think to myself and pull her into a kiss, which she of course returns.
"Makes me want to take your clothes off right now, as hot as you look," I voice my thoughts after all.
"Nothing there, first we're going to the festival, afterwards you're welcome to help me out of my kimono," she grins at me and takes my hand and walk towards the festival.
"Mikey didn't want to go?", I ask her.
"Nah, he says he doesn't like it that much. Besides, he also said he had something to do and left on the bike right before you got there," she tells me, and I think about it. He didn't tell me anything about something coming up, and yet he usually tells me everything.
"...........Yeah?", I hear it next to me and look at her questioningly.
"What yes?", I ask her confused.
"Jeez Draken, you're not even listening to me! Stop thinking about Mikey all the time or I'll get jealous!" she puffs up her cheeks a bit and looks offended to the side. Cute. I pinch her cheek and pull her closer to me and put my arm around her shoulders.
"You're at least as important to me as Mikey," I tease her further, and her pouting increases.
"You're mean!" she grumbles softly. I give her a kiss on the head and just keep walking.
"That's what you're the girl I love for," I say, and she blushes at that and gives me a light slap on the shoulders.
"Idiot!" she mumbles softly.

We reach the festival area and meet Hina and Takemitchy and walk around the festival as a foursome. Emma keeps dragging me to some booths. We lose sight of Takemitchy and Hina at some point and pretty soon there are only two of us left. But that doesn't bother me too much. We pass a shooting range, and I stop and hold her back by the hand.
"I have to bring Meiyo something, promised her," I explain before she asks.
"How is she doing by the way? That cold must be really bad that she couldn't come with you," she says sadly, and I just brush through her hair.
"You guys seem to have become good friends, don't you?", I pick out something I want and start shooting off the figures on the side.
"I like them, at least. I'm just not sure how to approach her. She seems so distant, it's hard for me to get close to her. I'm not like Mikey, who just forces himself on her. After all, I don't want to upset her. She's your little sister, you know?" says Emma, as she talks so much, I hit almost every character, missing very few and accumulating enough points accordingly.
"That's true, but I'm sure you'll still make friends with her once you break the ice. You're adorable and open-hearted, just approach her if you want to make friends. You just can't give up on her. I would actually be very happy if the two women in my life that I love hit it off," I say as the last shot misses.
"Shit," I curse softly and then look to Emma who is just shyly holding her hands in front of her face. She tries to hide it, but her blush, is clearly visible and that makes me smile.
"Again," I tell the man from the booth and get a few more shots. Something caught my eye that I want as an additional gift, and I just need more points for that.
"You're right! I'll do my best! Then she can definitely tell me funny and embarrassing stories when you were little! ", she laughs next to me.
"You go ahead and try," I say, and she watches me afterward as I fail and fail more and more. I keep buying more and more shots until I finally get my points together that I need.
"You're really trying!" she almost laughs at me.
"Of course, I want something special too.", she looks at me slightly pouting, because she probably still thinks I'm just getting something for my sister, but actually I want something for her too and that's why I made this effort.
"Emma, go ahead and get something to eat, will you? I'll just cash in the points and then I'll come to you. The line over there is so long as it is. Get in line before it gets any longer, will you?", slightly offended, she agrees and moves two stalls over to get in line. Now I can calmly choose a stuffed animal for Meiyo and also something for Emma, but I hide it in my bag first. She can still be a little jealous that I don't win anything for her.

After I have everything, I go to my girlfriend and get in line with her. Until we finally also have the food, an eternity passes, because of the queue. But when we finally have it, we sit down a bit outside and eat in peace.
"Ahh, now I'm full!", I stretch for a moment and then drop back into the grass and close my eyes.
"Say, Draken, are we actually going to be together forever?" my friend suddenly asks me after a moment of silence.
"I don't think you're going to be my girlfriend forever," I sigh, and I just feel a thump of her small bag on my stomach, causing me to sit up and hold my stomach.
"What the fuck are you doing?", I ask annoyed. My stomach is full, damn it!
"You're such an ass! Couldn't you have just said yes! Idiot!" she suddenly yells at me. She starts crying, gets up and runs away.
"Completely misunderstood, as usual," I grin anyway. So I quickly grab the stuffed animal for Meiyo and run after Emma.

She's not particularly fast in her shoes, and I catch up to her very quickly. So I grab her by the hand and make her stop that way.
"Emma, now please calm down. You misunderstood me," I say and wave my hand through her hair. But she just swats my hand away and looks at me sadly.
"There's nothing to misunderstand!"
I look at her and it breaks my heart to see her crying and because of me. All around us, people are looking at us, and I'm getting more and more uncomfortable. I scratch my head and sigh.
"Jeez, Emma, you're messing up my whole plan," I squeeze the stuffed animal in her arms and dig out my winnings from the shooting range earlier.
"Well actually I was going to make it a lot more romantic, it's your own fault it's going to be like this now," I grin at her and all I get is a confused look from her.

I kneel down and hold out to her the box with a ring I won earlier.
"The ring is not particularly expensive, and admittedly I won it just now at the shooting range.... and someday the real ring will definitely come, I promise!" I begin, and silence falls around me as everyone looks intently at us, which only increases the pressure inside me.
"I could make a cheesy speech right now, but you know me and you know I'm not like that, so.... Marry me, Emma. As soon as school is out, I want to officially make you my wife, marry you, and start a family," I say, looking at her. I can't interpret anything, she looks shocked and just looks at me and says purely nothing.
"You won't always be my girlfriend, you will become my wife."
I'm getting more and more nervous as the people around us are also starting to whisper.
"Emma?", I ask cautiously, and only now she seems to have come back to reality, because she suddenly bursts into tears and falls around my neck.
"Absolutely, yes! A hundred times yes! Absolutely a yes, yes yes and yes again!", I sigh in relief now and hold her in my arms. Due to her falling around my neck like that, we both fell to the floor and are sitting here now.
"Don't scare me like that. I thought you had to think about it!" people are suddenly applauding around us, but all I have in my head right now is Emma. How incredibly cute she looks, with that overjoyed smile on her face.
"The real ring is yet to come, this one will have to do for starters," I say, taking her hand and extending it to her.
"No, it's perfect," she says looking at the ring overjoyed and almost in love. She's suddenly so radiant. I take her face in my hands and pull her into a kiss.

"I love you, Emma," I whisper to her and seal our lips.
