*Emma's POV*

"I, um since you weren't answering I didn't know if you were home. I just wanted to drop off the work we were given." After watching pitch perfect Cassidy convinced me just to go drop off the work and see if he was there. Not like I really needed that much convincing in the first place.

"Oh. Thanks." I handed him the folder.

"Well I'll see you later. Maybe." I stepped back then started to turn.

"Wait- you can come inside." He said moving to the side.

"Are you sure? I mean you might be busy or something.." My voice trailed off. He shook his head, gesturing me to come inside. Without hesitation I walked inside.

"So class has been boring, eh?" He asked setting the folder down on the counter.

"Yeah. Very quiet, we can actually get through lessons now." He grinned.

"Maybe I don't need to come back then."

"Yes you do!" I paused, "I mean, you should. So you can graduate and what not." I looked down at the light colored carpet. He laughed.

"What?" I asked looking up at him.

"Nothing." He shook his head.

"Why haven't you been at school?" I asked. His face grew serious.

"It's really none of your business Emma." Ouch, I looked down again muttering a 'Sorry'

"You know maybe I should just leave. You seem a bit on the edge and I don't know if I've done something or whatever but I think I should just leave." I said a moment later, after I found my voice again.

"You haven't done anything. I'm just stressed out." He said quietly.

"Then maybe you should start talking to someone who cares about you instead of hiding it all away." He walked over to the kitchen, opening the cabinets and pulled down a bottle. I watched him pour himself a drink, offering me a drink, I shook my head and watched him take a drink.

"Name one person who cares about me." He said setting his glass down, a bit to hard. I walked closer to him.

"Look, I know I don't know you very well and to be honest with you, you scare me at times. But I feel odd around you. I can't stop thinking about you, I'm worried about you. It's stupid i know but I just can't help it. So I can name someone who cares about. Me." He raised his eyebrows at me and stepped forward.

"You care about me?" He asked.

"You're terrible at taking hints. Of course I do, If i didn't I wouldn't have brought you you're school work." He smirked at me.

"You're a strange girl. Falling for someone who you know nothing about." He tapped my nose. "But lucky for you; I like strange." He leaned down, hesitated before pressing his lips against mine. Just a soft little kiss, before he pulled back. His eyes were a bright blue.

"So about that date." He paused. "What do you say about tomorrow?"

"I say it would be great."
