Agent 2 (Marie) POV
I looked at 3 for confirmation, they looked hesitant, but quickly nodded. I looked back at the odd thing, raising the SplatterShot to their jaw and shooting. Within a matter of seconds, it started to scream and cry in agony, everyone stepped back, wincing at how loud it was screaming.
Steam was coming from the ink off of the thing, seemingly to melt it's skin. It curled up on the floor of the helicopter, trying to tear off the ink. Everyone just stared and waited for it to end.
A3: "It didn't take this long last time for it to shut up."
A8: "The ink caused a burning feeling, that doesn't happen to Inklings or Octolings."
A1: "Does anyone else feel kind of bad?"
When the thing stopped screaming and crying, i walked closer to it, moving it's hands away, looking for any burn scars. There was none.
A2: "No need to feel bad, Agent 1, it didn't actually get burned."
A1: "So it was just being dramatic?"
A2: "Not really. I'm assuming that the ink just gives a burning feeling, like it's melting their skin, just like fire. But no harm is actually done."
A3: "Some weird shit. It's obviously not an Inkling or Octoling, also not a Jellyfish."
A8: "It looks almost like us, but much taller and doesn't have any Inkling/Octoling features. Maybe it's mutated?"
I thought about what Agent 8 said, maybe it was just a mutation and I was overthinking. I wanted to say what I thought it was, but I didn't want the other agents to worry about it. Before I knew it, the helicopter landed.
I decided to keep my mouth shut.
