|The Change Church|
The Wilsons started their Sunday morning off by following tradition, and that meant church first thing in the morning. The pastor gave a spirit filled sermon, while the worship team serenaded the building with their angelic voices. After about 3 hours the service was finally over and Fatima's parents were mingling with random people while she and Dee waited for them by the car which was parked in somewhere under a tree shade.
Dee: girl is it just me or ever since mommy told us she's pregnant, it's like her tummy grew overnight?
Fatima: (chuckles) yeah I noticed that too but I thought she was just bloated or something.
Dee: that can only mean she's much further along than we think, maybe she's already even in the second trimester.
Fatima: damn so you mean baby MJ could be here sooner than we think?
Dee: yeah, but I'm actually lowkey excited I've always wanted a brother.
Fatima: (scoffs) even one with a 20 year age difference?
Dee: (chuckles) okay not too much, you heard mommy - God's timing.
Fatima: (rolls eyes) whatever.
Dee: how do you feel about this new addition to our family?
Fatima: (shrugs) it's whatever.
Dee: aww is the baby jealous that there's gonna be a new baby to take over?
Fatima: (scoffs) baby? Girl please, I'm bout to be 23.
Dee: okay and? That doesn't exempt you from the last born syndrome.
Fatima: see this is why your ass don't have no edges (laughs).
Dee: whatever Tima, my edges will grow back but it still won't change the fact that your spoiled ass will no longer be the baby (laughs).
Fatima: (rolls eyes) Deanna please stop talking to me about this damn baby. Rather tell me when do you guys start filming?
Dee: we have a table read this week, so filming should start pretty soon... [Pauses, stares] ohhh shit, girl look who's coming over here.
Fatima: -turns around- (rolls eyes) what does he want!?
Devon: (smiles) ladies.
Both: hey.
Devon: Dee do you mind if I talk to Fatima in private?
Dee: sure. *leaves*
Devon: you look good Tima.
Fatima: thanks.
Devon: (steps closer) listen I know I've been distant but can we please talk for a second?
Fatima: no.
Devon: okay well you know our mom's are practically besties, so how about I invite the Wilsons over for Sunday lunch (smiles).
Fatima: (annoyed) Devon what is this? What are you doing?
Devon: this is me trying to apologize, I know I did you dirty and I just wanna say I'm sorry.
Fatima: I'm already over it honestly, so please spare me with the awkward family luncheons.
Devon: (smiles) okay... well can I take you out? Just the two of us, no families!
Fatima: no! Now please get away from me and go find somebody else to annoy.
Devon: oh it's like that?
